Why I feel his character will be kinda jerky here ? Do we have a description of his role somewhere ?

As a cdrama FL she won't stand out. The typical goody-two-shoes with high-pitched voice and some staring contest scenes with ML cause "innocent" girl "falling in love" with ML. I can already predict her expressions and vibes in that future drama.

Honestly XianXia genre has been utter shit lately. LBFaD was beautiful and is at least one of the better xianxias around.

I didn't like the FL in SSS. This is what killed the drama for me.

Me I am different. I loved the women except the FL Wan'er (in both costume shows ZRY had no chemistry with his onscreen partner). but I loved Si Li Li the most. She is trapped and used by powerful people type of character. Even she is in an extremely vulnerable and weak position, she is facing adversity and the cruelty of the world towards her and her family with strength and she is resilient. Sure she doesn't have any other choice but she deserves justice and she has been physically and emotionally tortured several times cause of FanXian. Thus I love how, unlike in other typical cdramas where the heroe would have treated a character like her like she is NOTHING, it is showed that FanXian stops having prejudice towards her at certain point and was not indifferent to Si Li Li and also recognised her trial. Of course she fell
for him but he does not totally rejects that but might have grown some fondness to her (look at the last episode how he reacted to Haitang saying she was there to bid him farewell). This character was given a surprisingly nice development and so was her platonic relationship with FanXian (dangit they had a great sensual chemistry !).

Then I loved loved Chen Ping Ping : this veteran ASMR VOICE ! powerful guy, charismatic. Even FX is like a chess piece in his game I strongly believe he cares for him. This guy loved his mom in his younger day. Alll three old men loved FX mom
but of course women loving bad boys (I am sure emperor was a Fang Tian Yi to her) especially when they are powerful she picked emperor who ended up eliminating her for political and ideology differences. I am sure also Chen Ping Ping love FX but resents his biological daddy and wanna revenge. But by doing that he is using our baby boy who may have the chivalry attitude of his mother but got some of his dad DNA (attention Chen Ping Ping ! You are playing with fire). Just to say this guy character is *chefkiss for me.

Then of course Fan Xian ! You described him perfectly. Won't add any more.
I liked Wang Xinan as well and FX step mother. I love how like in Si Li Li case her character was treated differently and she was not a problem to FX. She is a smart (well she is linked to the royal family) but she has principles. May have been spoiled but smart enough to lay low with her family and hubbie and survive in that violent atmosphere she knows oh so well.

Ost deserves a 10. Indeed it had no flaw like its 2019 costume counterpart Longest day in Chang'an.

PS : I liked the BeiQi arc. Sure XZ acting aint so strong but I like the exchanges btw his stiff patriotic character and Fan Xian don't-give-a-fuck one. It was entertaining and funny. Plus I was really touched by characters like Zhang Mohan, his violent brother (his death was sad even he was not such a good guy), the latter adopted son ect...
This drama did a dangit job fleshing every freaking one even Guo Bakun's minions he hired to kill FanXian.

Who were your fav characters ?

I don't know about the Untamed but Joy Of Life ??? Ah ??? I beg to differ girl. I mean that drama got a "9" ratings on extremely Kdrama-driven MDL since 2019 for a reason my dear (even Avenue X rated it 3 gold mines) ! And in the last 6 episodes JOL never lost steam (on the contrary they went turbo) the way LBFAD did.

My opinion : the only reason this drama is not epic for me (even it raises the bar for xianxia that has been a tired and mediocre genre lately) is because of the FL. Those last 10 years cdramaland FLs writting have been really stagnant and a certain type has been overpromoted. Orchide character for me does not stand out at all. We stay in the same type of FL character that have been dominating cdramaland especially xianxia (the weak "babygirl" with hidden identity and "power" that reveals herself through the power of love instead of to training). I even think short dramas are doing a better job at displaying different type of FLs and it is one reason why, even most of them are cheap and short, the Main leads couple love stories are loaded with spice and s*x appeal - Maids Revenge (unapologically wattpad love story where at the end of the day FL shows that she wants the ML), Men Zhu (a badass grey woman who ends up meeting up her match), Eldest princess above (not your typical innocent baby girl), Night of love with you (a charming comic pro villainess that loves the Villain hot ML), A familiar stranger (innocent FL whose love gestures towards ML are filled with passion and maturity) for examples.
In LBFAD case, imo, the FL doesn't break the mold (something a small character like DanYin was given the opportunity to do). And the episodes when she became her true self goddess were, bleh? Like it was anti climatic. At last her voice tone, even her diction is good, was grating in my ears.

I see the female lead and I can already predict her personality and her voice. She won't stand out
