It was raw when I checked on youtube but I was not feeling his facial expressions and bodylanguage in that one. Plus the FL is your typical chinese plain jane (lord they all have the same style and aura) a lil tomboyish that "accidentally meet" half naked MĹ at 1st bla bla bla and ML is your typical rich guy that will end up with poor dumbo innocent tomboyish girl. They before that they will argue. The kid cuteness is the best thing about it. Personnally not my thing. Another thing that gave Maids revenge point is OTP encounters were never depicted as accidental. If FL got to see ML half naked it is because he wanted it. None of that "slip&trip&kiss" shit. Whenever they kissed it was on purpose. They wanted it. None of that "innocence" bullcrap. Atthe end FL was very proactive and was the one initiating the kissing.

Using doppelganger after a case of a lead tragic death is never a good idea. If you are the director of a drama never ever do that. This is what I hated with this show. And the FL calling herself Mrs Fang is another case of a FL that decided to be in charge of her lover's affairs after he died before they could marry. She considers herself his wife and no one else. Therefore the use of a man that looks like ML but can never be the him is tasteless imo. The writer did terrible at implying open ending.

Actually "Night of Love with you" had a relative success this year but went under the radar (unlike this one here) cause Tencent decided to post it on youtube and get the viewers have access to it months after it aired cause of people growing interest to it. Had they promoted properly it would have been as popular as "maids revenge". The way maids revenge ended removed that rewatch value that "Night of love with you" still have for me
And talking about Dai Gao Zheng, I tried and watch his other show that is airing now and I believe he shall stay far away from rom-com. I don't think he shines in that other drama the way he did here. Plus I don't like Rom-com whether it is Korean, Chinese or Japan and I don't dig the FL in his other show. She is bland
And one other positif thing I personally believe the leads acting (even the SML) was not bad at all. There is potential in Mr abs but he still needs to be aware that he is more than his look and do like his bro DiDi as in working hard to improve continually. But the way he was using his eyes in this show and how he was changing emotions give me hope. And I dare you if both leads didn't give us anything we wouldn't be here 😊.
It was entertaining actually and for me I cared about the OTP lovestory. Bigger cdramas (except for that one scene in "Reset" this year) didn't manage to make me have butterflies in my stomach for a lead couple whenever they are in the same scene not even LBFaD (I was more drawn into that universe beauty and Dylan vast improvement and some of the supporting backstory and how they were fleshed). I mean look at the last kissing scene btw TiangYi and TingYao. Even during that moment it is spicy and charged with a lot of s*xual hormones. It is ironic how this year the dramas that gave that kind of intense s*xual vibe btw the leads even when they don't kiss, were mini shows like "Eldest princess on top" "Night of love with you" and this one here.
For me I think that's why people think this show, for what it is was good? It was not supposed to make them stick with that (abs or not). But it trended. I like how it is implied the FL became stronger and smarter at the end tho. Good. But the worst thing that team did (the PD is a woman) is making us believe it is an open ending when it is obvious it is not. That is bad bad storytelling here of her actually.

And all of this was done to the ML who is governor with a private army and at the end they want us to believe it is an open ending with a doppelganger... I guess they were pressured to end it all cause of time and money. Still it could have been done better.
