Cause the FL characteristics are things people have been craving for : young and innocent without being a dumbo childish ingenue with zero s.x appeal, a strong woman without appearing masculine and cold (Liu Yi Fei will never loose feminity even as a badass character).

Even in MG he appeared robotic to me. To be fair MG was that Tianxiong drama and had all of the worst parts of it : forced interractions, things unfolding in an unnatural way. So I guess he fitted here. But we all know anything linked to HYD franchise is bound to be a hit even though the product is pure sh.t (BOF).
