The mother-daughter scenes broke my heart. Especially when the scenes were juxtaposed with those of the younger Hae In and her mum. The way she immediately jumped in to absolve her mother of any guilt by saying “I don’t blame you. I was a difficult child to deal with.” 😞 That made me cry the most. Such a beautiful depiction of childhood trauma caused by emotional abuse and neglect. I loved that the mum apologised sincerely without making any excuses for her behaviour. She acknowledged and accepted how cruel she was as a mum and I hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship for those two filled with love and healing ❤️ Hae In deserves to be loved and coddled and the whole family getting together to eat meat was such a wholesome scene after all that heart ache. 🙂
