I went back and watched the beginning of episode 1 and it definitely looked like that call to her in the hospital…
Also, it certainly seemed like he was excited about being on that radio show when they show him getting into the van which makes me think that he was excited about being able to call her. Maybe also cos trainees/idols those days especially couldn’t contact anyone apart from family etc etc so he had no other way of reaching her or something
Wait. So the eclipse *might have* something to do with all of this AND his band is called Eclipse?! 😲 Also the radio announcer saying “I hope your day is filled with miracles.” What?!
Also, Genie is one of my abs fav songs and hearing it play at the beginning had me fan-girling lol
it looks like her accident happend while she was crossing the street, so probably trauma
I think this is about her being oblivious to her surroundings and just stepping onto a busy road and oncoming traffic without taking stock. You can see the ptsd hit when she becomes aware or when a car honks etc…which is when she starts her counting to calm down. Wonder why she does that..is she just naturally absent minded when she’s stressed? 🤔🤔
Rewatching and loving it more than I did the first time! Jin Yang Cheol is such a cruel man and whatever eventually happened to “his” conglomerate is his fault. It is like the Daeyoung group chairman pointed out - he had the strength of his sons behind him whereas Yang Cheol made his children fight amongst themselves just because he was a scared old man afraid of letting go and prioritized making money over his family. He reaped what he sowed in the end. Loved how Hyon Woo/ Do Jun knew exactly how to manipulate him.
Lee Sung Min did such a good job of portraying Yang Cheol. His mannerisms and body language are brilliant and you can feel the discomfort everytime his family members are in his presence. Such an amazing expression of narcissism- the tutting, the gaze, the loud laughter, the sudden raising of his voice, the dismissals and constant displeasure. The kids are also typical - the first born who is the “good child”, the second who is doing whatever he can to fit in, the third who feels entitled by virtue of her gender, the fourth who broke away from the mold cos he didn’t want to fight a war he knew he wouldn’t win. How they all yearn for their father’s acknowledgement and appreciation. And the “long suffering partner/mother to the kids” who tried to keep the peace by enabling her husband’s behaviour AND placating the kids and the rest of the family. The actress was brilliant too in her portrayal - she was so soft spoken, sighed like she was both upset at her husband and helpless about the situation, and touched whoever was at the receiving end of the Chairman’s displeasure to soothe them - so typical of how enablers behave. It was so uncomfortable to watch it all play out cos it was so familiar with how I’ve seen a lot of it in my father’s side of the family. Giving us some backstory of how Yang Cheol suffered before he could set up his business gives us a good idea of why he is the way he is - although that doesn’t excuse his behavior. 🙂
I find it fascinating that this is where Hyun Woo as Do Jun could play his part and win - since he didn’t grow up in his grandfather’s presence, he was able to separate himself from how the real Do Jun would have been and could view Yang Cheol objectively. I am pretty sure the real Do Jun would have been traumatized and would never have the guts to stand up to his grandfather in this way atleast (ie; if he ever had opportunities to interact with his grandfather even!)
I appreciate the ending as I believe it fits the theme. Hyun Woo would’ve still needed time to deal with all the lingering emotions that came with all his experiences and focusing on work was how he could do that. 😊
That means he didn't call a random number. He called HER number. It makes sense why he looks unsure and sad when…
Also makes me wonder if there’s something more to her accident 🤨 Seems like she was hurt and sad when she got hit. I am curious if that car was actually meant to hit her or someone else? Did it have anything to do with his accident which gave him the shoulder injury? His dad seems strange (apart from being too short to have passed on his genes LOL!) …. he’s weirdly obsessive when it comes to his swimming career and was mad when he said he would be dropping it. Why would a parent do that to a child who is already hurt?
They’re both doing such a good job! My heart is so happy seeing BWS as the ml and something that suits him so damn well! Fell in love with him in that Flower Joseon drama and been waiting to see him as the ml 😀
It's also interesting that they brought up the person who saved her during her accident. Could there be some kind…
But wasn’t Ryu already hurt when FL went back in time and before she had her accident? He had a bum shoulder.
Maybe whoever saved the FL died (the character they’re introducing tomorrow seems likely) and is probably whoever the FL had a crush on at the time. Seems Ryu might have known him too and seems like Ryu was involved in the accident somehow although looks like Ryu didn’t know the FL beforehand. And, stay with me here, mystery dude might have come to the future (or isn’t dead but disabled and unable to pursue whatever he wanted to do) and is the cause of Ryu’s heartache. Probably blaming Ryu for his death/disability.
Phew! 😅 Anyways, that watch is the most sus of them all. Like the watch in Kairos.
Kim Dong Bae kept insisting he was a spy and would have done everything in his power to make sure that he wouldn't…
Thank you! That makes sense now…I guess he was also hoping to send a message to his uncle and mother by this killing (which obviously missed the mark) 🫤
Jin Han/Lee In is the star of this show!!!!! What a character! He’s been consistent and steadfast in who he…
Lady Dong has my respect. She chose Lee In over herself and stayed true to her feelings for him despite being treated as a mere plaything in the whole political game between the queen dowager, the previous king, the uncle, Lee In, MongWoo, the queen, etx. Wah! It’s amazing that she held on for so long!

Her looking at his photo after the concert and ogling his colllar bone/chest 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
