I cant explain how beautiful this episode was. It had everything an LND fan could hope for after the last 2-3 stressful episodes. The conclusion of the whole storyline was perfectly executed in the 90 min episode. Definitely the best episode of LND so far.

The reactions of each character to Seokryu’s cancer were absolutely spot on. Everyone reacted exactly as i expected and even those who tried to stay composed, like Moeum were equally hurt inside. Every character’s response was justified. When Seunghyo lashed out at Seokryu for hiding such a big secret from her friends and family, you could really feel how wrong Seokryu was. Then when Seokryu’s parents discussed how she felt neglected because of Dongjin, it made you understand where Seokryu was coming from.

But the beach scene, where Seokryu finally vented her feelings which she kept inside her for last three years, thats when i realized the buildup and wait for this moment were truly worth it. After that, Seokryu started opening up and it felt like she and her family were finally beginning to understand each other.

The final scene with her ex was really heartbreaking. I felt so sad for Hyeonjun, he definitely deserves someone who can fully love him. Its not that Seokryu didnt love him but for some reason, i felt he didnt deserve that kind of ending, especially when i saw him watching Seokryu, her family and friends walking happily down the street.

I love the characters in this drama, they are all very endearing in their own ways. Cheng Miao Miao's mother and her uncle are so funny. Both of them are just like Miao Miao and Yaya but the only difference is that Yaya truly takes after his father, while Miao Miao is a perfect reflection of her mother and uncle, lol.

Yaya is such a precious character, he needs to be protected at all costs so that he can protect Shanqing, lol.

Loving this drama so far!!! The only mistake was they promoted it as rom com instead of slice of life and melodrama.…
No, more than pride, Seokryu's mother didnt want her to go through all the hardships she and her husband faced. Thats why she was forcing her to go back to the USA. Additionally, Seokryu never clearly explained why she quit her job and broke off her engagement so her mother's anger and frustration were justified.

He said those things in the heat of the moment, he never meant them that way. Have you seen how the FL doubted…
Okay, but do you realize that your grandma and Hyeonjun are completely different people with completely different situations? Your grandma wasnt alone, she was at least in her own home country, surrounded by her own people. But what about Hyeonjun?? He and Seokryu were alone in a foreign land, and he had to deal with all the pressure on his own. The situation is completely different. He was managing the finances, working, taking care of her, and still had to look after himself. Just because your grandma handled things without lashing out doesn't mean Hyeonjun has to do the same. Like I said, those words slipped out when Seokryu guilt-tripped him by saying, “Why are you out partying while your fiancée is alone??" Didnt you see how Seokryu tried to guilt trip him first??

Plus, there is a big generational gap between your grandma and Hyeonjun. Hyeonjun is a young guy taking care of his fiancee (they are not even married yet), whereas your grandma was taking care of someone she had spent her whole life with. Both situations are completely different, yet you expect him to act like your grandma did?? Sorry, but thats just not realistic.

to be fair, it's labeld as "romance" and "comedy". I don't blame someone who expects "romance" and "comedy" but…
On studio dragon's website story pretty much tells its healing, slice of life romance & not romcom. And that was official one whereas unofficial websites like MDL & all promoted it as romcom.

That scene with FL and her ex: How to NOT treat a depressed person 101. 🤦‍♀️I was SHOCKED when he told…
He said those things in the heat of the moment, he never meant them that way. Have you seen how the FL doubted him?? Of course, from the back, his actions looked suspicious but did you see how the FL lashed out at him, saying, Why are you partying when your fiancee is sick and depressed?

Have you noticed how much he gave up for her during those three years?? When she said those words, he couldnt hold back. Anyone would have reacted similarly, even i might have said the same. But it was only momentary, he didnt mean any of it.

I suggest you watch Han Jimin's storyline in Our Blues, around episodes 15-16. You will realize how difficult it is for caregivers to take care of their loved ones in this difficult phase. Its not as easy as you think.

And think about how much he did for her over those three years. On top of that, he was alone, taking care of her in a foreign country, while also managing the finances for both of them.

Just when the episodes where ratings actually needed to increase arrived they decreased. I get it, kdrama audience, I get it, lol.

tbvh initial episodes up until episode 6-7 deserved ratings around 8.5 and with episodes 8-9, it should have increased to 8.6-8.7.

Ngl but Ep 8 & 9 are actually the best so far. Whenever i used to write about previous episodes, i would always talk about how cute or funny the scenes were, how beautifully everything was coming together, and how natural their chemistry felt, just the usual stuff i do for every other show. But with Ep 8 & 9, i can actually discuss the flaws of the lead characters. Both of them have their own issues and you can even see things from the family's perspective and understand them as well. There is also a lot of room for growth in all of these flawed characters, making them feel very real. Their conflicts feel genuine and relatable.

While i see many people liking the second couple, and i like them too but they are pretty one dimensional. Their story is straightforward, without much conflict. Its the typical "girl likes boy, boy reciprocates" kind of plot, with the boy’s daughter playing cupid. Moeum has already accepted Yeondu so there is not even any tension there, like the usual Moeum isnt fond of children angle. There is not much to discuss about them beyond saying, "Oh im loving them so much."

On the other hand, Seokryu, Seunghyoand even their family have so much to talk about when it comes to their behavior. There is still a lot of growth needed for them to truly understand each other. The writer has done a great job in making these characters feel real and you can understand them to some extent while also seeing things from other characters perspectives.

Even the leads exes were interesting to talk about. They werent the typical toxic exes who cheated or something, the reasons for their breakups were different and completely understandable.

Many people say this drama is a mix of every romance drama of 2024 but i would argue that they actually handled these topics much better than all those other shows combined.

For example, in QOT, the illness was present from the beginning but they never focused on why it happened. In LND however, you can see the causes behind Seokryu's illness: working tirelessly, not eating properly, living alone and experiencing stress. Also How Haein miraculously get better is still beyond my understanding. I will always say it was kind of plot armour.

In Doctor Slump, both leads quit their jobs mostly due to slump but the major reason was that they were set up by villains. In contrast, here you can see Seokryu dealing with post illness stress and how her coworkers comments pushed her into depression. There isnt a single ultimate villain here, unlike Doctor Slump where that guy with glasses was the clear antagonist.

In Welcome to Samdalri, FL also quits her job but i never liked the reasoning. She had evidence in her hands, yet she stayed silent, allowing her ex's new girlfriend to walk all over her. That show also had the typical breakup reason of the ex cheating on her. In the childhood friends to lovers trope, ML remained a virgin the entire time without dating anyone, whereas here Seunghyo had a pretty intense relationship when Seokryu was abroad.

If anyone wants to enjoy this drama peacefully and discuss it on MDL, please block the user named Nahlabee4. He/She is still lingering around, hating on everyone who enjoyed the drama. When i enjoyed part 1 and joined the discussion, he/she was already there, spreading hate. Even now, he/she continues to make everyone’s experience miserable with their useless nonsense.

2. There are only 2 nude scenes, not long but length doesnt exceed more than 1 min. Both are very imp to storyline and to know more abt characters.

Part 2 was even more impressive and captivating than Part 1. The action sequences, pacing, gore and tension were spot on. It was so gripping that i ended up finishing all 4 EPs in one sitting.

This part gave me even more goosebumps compared to Part 1 with its stupendous action and chilling moments of gore that really sent shivers down my spine.

Jeon Jongseo delivered an absolutely phenomenal performance. She embodied a fierce warrior queen with every scene radiating her commanding presence. Her action sequences were thrilling and the final moment where she steps onto the battlefield was nothing short of perfection. Her character exuded power and the way she maneuvered through the patriarchal royal palace with her intelligence and cunning moves completely won me over. I cant praise this strong warrior queen enough!!

Beyond her, every other character was layered and complex, many with deeply rooted motivations driving their actions. The cast was strong and the performances were spot on.

Im usually not a fan of long 16 episode sageuks due to their slower pace and melo tone but this one was right up my alley for its uniqueness.

Note: For those concerned about the nudity, this part has almost none. The few scenes that do involve nudity are not unnecessary, they add to the story and character development. There are maybe two short scenes but thats all.

This historical series truly exceeded my expectations. The ending hints at a strong possibility of S2 and if that happens, i cant wait for it.

I like episodic crimes. Though a crime takes around 3 episodes to solve, I like this. A good change of pace. Its…
In the original format, it was mostly episodic, but since this series shifted from SBS to D+, they extended the number of episodes from 12 to 20 by shortening the original episode length from 60 to 40 minutes. As a result, it's now taking three episodes to solve a crime.

Well, there's a clear difference between those two,but people are just curious, it's a comment section,you will…
I understand the curiosity to some extent, but its important for people to know the difference between the LGBT genre and the BL genre, especially if they support the LGBT community. Although im not part of the community, i support them and understand how disrespectful it can be to label LGBT shows as BL. Reducing LGBT content to BL is disrespectful, as BL often depicts an rosy version of gay relationships, while LGBT media tends to portray the real struggles people face. Mislabeling an LGBT show as BL can be hurtful, so its important to understand the terminology. After all its not like using Google is illegal.

First of all thx for the info i really needed to hear thatBut you know that it was possible leaving out the obsession…
Because thats how BL fans often behave, they obsess over BL in every comment section without doing any research. Even in Love in the Big City, a new LGBT/queer drama that happens to have a gay relationship as the main storyline, they disrespect the show by labeling it as BL everywhere. For God's sake, BL and LGBT+ are two different genres. If you are a fan of BL and support the LGBT community, you should at least know that much, otherwise, its disrespectful. Im not a big fan of BL, i occasionally watch them, but even i know how to distinguish between those genres.

Secondly, whenever two hot guys appear together onscreen, these BL fans always irritate everyone by asking, "Is there BL?? Does it have BL??" Come on, pure friendship and bromance between men also exists. Not every two hot guys need to have something romantic between them. Thats why BL fans need to stop their obsession and start seeing things from a neutral perspective for once.

As far as i remember, the storyline in Skam S1 was a complete mess but it was a lot of fun to watch. The main girl, Eva (Jiyu), was delusional. She thought her boyfriend Jonas (Chan Seong) was cheating on her with her ex best friend Ingrid, who also happens to be Jonas's ex girlfriend. So, Eva (Jiyu) ends up cheating on Jonas (Chan Seong) with a new guy, Chris. But in reality, Jonas was just hanging out with Ingrid's (Jonas’s ex girlfriend and Eva's ex best friend) brother to get weed, lol. Im not sure how they will incorporate the weed angle, but thats how it is. Although she have on & off romantic relationship with chris for a while, jonas and eva eventually end up together. (chris was fkboy).

Aside from this, jonas's best friend isak had a one sided crush on him. He realises he have feelings for men/jonas but they never had a romantic angle because isak becomes the main character in Season 3, where his gay love story is explored with his new love interest as the main storyline.
