Yup. I dont think the show is glorifying cheating in anyway. The FL called out the ML for kissing her when he is still in a relationship. Plus he feels terrible abouy it too. Also there is a foreshadowing when the SFL said "she might had been a princess in her past life" when the ML and her were on a date.

For people who think they made SFL a cheater to justify the ML let me tell you she was already a brat. She bullied hong jo enough to make her leave highschool. Called her a maid.
And when they met again she only apologized to hong jo so to save her image. Her being cheating on shinyu might come as a shock but it is not too big such that people think the writer made her look bad to make the male lead look good. They have already told us how she was the one who chased after shin yu probably for his status and that her character is kinda iffy is mentioned in her character intro.

Yeah they are definitely building up the confusion if the spells work or not. We might get the answers in coming episodes

I dont think they are normalising cheating infact the ML has always said he feels terrible for two timing when he thought that spell was working. And in the recent episode hong jo did make it clear that they cant go on like this.

Honestly not at all taking shinyu's side for that kiss like hong jo literally should have slapped him at that time.
But can you give him a break?!?!?
Shinyu was attracted to her from the start the reason being he relates to her loneliness like thereis no drastic changes in his feelings.
Shinyu cannot be blamed for the shenanigans he pulled off from ep4-6 since they have given us a rational reason that is "neural coupling". Search it on google it is a REAL thing!!!
Shinyu actually started feeling strange about himself in ep3 and as he already knew that hong jo had used the love potion it made him think that whatever that heart racing thing plus the part where his body was working against his mind was because of the potion when actually that was him being attracted to her and thats why he was acting strange. If the love potion wasnt in the picture maybe he wouldnt be behaving strange he would have better control of his feelings. Basically what happened is his real feelings+ neural coupling happened.
Now on to if he was cheating part his gf part,
Shinyu actually feels bad about it from the start. Time and again he told hong jo that he doesnt want to two time his gf because it is terrible so to help him remove the spell. The show doesnt glorify two timing.
Plus hong jo literally says in ep 5 that we should go against our destinies and go separate ways so what is wrong about him wanting to get back with his gf when they have already decided that they will work against their fate.
About if shinyu loves na yeon?- i dont think he loves her but he definitely likes her enough to get married to her.
The first time he broke up was because of his illness. Then that woman randomly proposed him and said that she was okay with his illness plus atp he thinks his feelings for hong jo are not real so why would he not be ready for the marriage.
Then in ep7 we get to know that all this spell thing is not true we get a reasonable answer as to why shinyu was behaving strangely. Shinyu makes it clear to both tge SML and Hong jo. He stops nagging her thats why her drunk confession to him. But he also is coming into terms of his feelings for hong jo now. And that drunk confession from her wavers his heart.
He is not at all happy with his wedding and before he could do someyhing his dad already fixed his wedding date and then someone send photos to na yeon.
Now i get that many people are angry as to why he is not breaking up with her but it is understandable, they have been in a long realtionship their wedding date is fixed and he still thinks his gf is a good person plus he is still confused about his feeling given that he has always repressed his feelings his confusion actually feels real.
I am not defending him for that kiss but he is only human he made a mistake he owned upto it. He said he felt like trash he said he wants to be loyal to na yeon. He is just in an extreme level of denial right now it is only a matter of time he sorts this out and actually breaks up with his gf.
Lastly, i just wanna say that the show isnt romanticising cheating we literally have hong jo calling him out for his mistake.

But she clearly wasnt comfortable with the gardener it is shown. With the ML she is irritated and isnt uncomfortable. And isnt it shown clearly that there is a reason for the ML to do that spell/neural coupling. And as soon as he learns that he stops nagging her.

I donot think hong jo thought of ML as an uncomfortable presence infact she is very comfortable and more like her when she is with him.

Saw many posts commenting on how the ml is two timing and all that. But tge thing is he doesnt want to that is why he is asking the fl to break it for which the fl is not ready to do it as it might cause a disaster.
I agree that that the male lead is cold and rude to the fl but he is like that to everyone and not just to her?!?! That is just his nature which he needs to change eventually. Moreover the fl gives him right back its not like she is being a coward she very well knows that he is arrogant to her.
That being said ml's anger on the fl was valid in episode 5 she basically is manupilating his feelings and nobody would want that. But his curt words arent valid.
The thing is both the leads have flaws let them grow. For gods sake it has only been five episodes.

Here is the thing shin yu is under the spell. He doesnt want to be bound with it neither does hong ju. Hong ju basically took agency of his life from him. And his anger for her in todays episode is valid(and yes i also agree that he is a jerk). But it is also time that she takes responsibility for what she did to him.
The thing is they both have flaws and they gotta fix that.
Ps. The actor has already told in his interviews that his character is not likeable and that it is okay to not like him. And that both the fl and ml will grow eventually.

The explanation given is that the members from his "noble clan" wouldnt leave long which results into them being diagnosed with hereditary disease which has very less chance to cure. Like one of the family male member is alive for like 70 years. His father was on the verge of death but his disease got cured.
With shinyu it is incurable. And i think the red hand think are just his hallucinations since he is probably the reincarnation of his past self.
And i think them showing him in pain and her decocting the love spell at the end of episode 2 was just a cinematic choice to make viewers more immersed.

War veterans are looked down upon, many suffer from ptsd after their retirement. Many live in worst conditions after their retirement with very less pension. Ofcourse they
are one of the important and they should be highly respected.
