I dont know if you have read manga but the hyun's character is drama is mostly same as that in the manga. There are some minor changes though. In manga he never really confesses his feelings but is so overly protective of hwi that
at times it creates blunder for hwi and jiwoon. We have to see how they actually
how they portray his character in the drama.

Ofcourse it is prejudicable to the story as it makes the story more spicy and is definietly gonna come in between hwi and jiwoon's relationship. I just wanted to clear what realtionship hyun has with hwi to the op.

Hyun is actually the king's older brother's son. So yeahh, they are from the same clan and are pretty much have closely realted by blood. Also i dont think marriages with same clan was allowed in joseon era.

Hyun being gay might be a possibility but i dont think jiwoon has still fallen in love with hwi he still has that lingering feelings for his childhood crush "Dami". And protecting their future king is their duty.

Its not hwi he qants to kill it is dami the twin sister of hwi.
During that period twins were considered as bad omen
especially if one is boy and one is a girl. So the king didnt want instability in his nation so he said that he would not make the boy child the future crown prince so the boy child's maternal grandfather( an ambitious man who wants to control the throne by making his grandson as the future king) suggests the present king to kill of the infant girl child. But then his daughter( present crown princess) saves the girl child by bluffing the child's death sends her away from palace.
Years after the girl child comes back to palace as a court maid and then her maternal grandfathet gets yo know about this so he wants her dead now, but unfortunately the future crown prince dies as he disguises himself as the girl child.

During that time twins were considered an abomination especially if it is a girl and a boy twin and more specifically in the royal families.
Therefore the king was saying that the boy child will not get the throne as it will not be good for their position if the word spresds about there being a girl twin in the nation.
As the Crown Princess"s father is an ambitious man who would surely want his grandson to take the throne so that he can wield more power he goes on to kill the girl child.

Look, i think you have a very very different perspective of this. I think u believe in doing only right and mistakes arent in your chart which doesnt actually happen in real life. Sorry to offend you.

But some fans of him actually disliked the show and criticized it too.

It depends upon people's perspective. What u didn't like isnt supposed to be disliked by other people. I have read many comments where they found the characters relatable and realistic. Some like the plot, some like characters, some like the genre, some like the cinematography. Sorry to say this but what u said is like you are indirectly degrading people's likes and dislikes.

She did prioritise him when she realized what a big mistake she did.
Yes they were incompatible but they worked through it. Both balanced out their faults at the end.

Giving someone who is at fault a chance to mend the relationship is not being a pushover, clingy or one being with no selflove. It is called forgiving, letting bygones be bygones, healing and making a new start with that person and be the bigger one in that realtionship. Do you think Hyunseung would be happy hating on the woman he once loved all his life?

But he learnt too. If u watched the preview for next episode he says that ' I know that i cannot always win in love even when i have given it all. So i am scared.' He is openly confessing how he feels now.
Moreover, we have to understand that eventhough he loves Songah he loves himself the most. He wouldnt have been able to cope up with their breakup if it wasnt for his selflove love and self respect and he is not giving into her just now he is just giving her a chance to try to get him back.

HyunSeung deserves better. No, I think he deserves the BEST. And if that BEST is YOON SONGAH I dont mind it at all.
Not all relationships cannot be mend. If the person at fault is trying to make an effort then a chance should be given to them imo.
We are humans afterall we are selfish, we make choices, regret them at times, but that doesnt mean we dont deserve love.

'HYUNSEUNG's Charachter was written badly'- No, I dont think so. He is the strongest character and most charming one in this series. It was his upbringing and not the character. He and his siblings were taught to love selflessly with mutual respect and patience for their loved ones. Just because he loves the most and sacrifices doesnt make him a pushover or clingy or one with no selfrespect.
Once again we have to see that he loves himself the most even when he loved songah. Otherwise, he wouldnt have been able to cope up with their breakup. He gave his all to their relationship and when it fell apart he knew that he was not the one who will regret because he had tried hard enough to make it work. This shows how mature he was.
Also, we can see that Chae Yeon Seung also made many sacfricies for her love. Which tells us that it was their upbringing which was written like that not an individual character.

About giving Songah a chance. I think he should give it. She was wrong. And she was very much wrong with the way she ended things with him. And i am angry at her too. She always said she was being selfish and never worked for it. But now she is working for it hard and i feel happy about that.

Hyunseung is not a pushover or giving into her easily. Some facts that shows that are as follows-
1) He was indifferent to her when she came back for many days.
2) He was indifferent to her when she was drunk and confessed and said sorry.
3) He rejected her the next day too and confessed to jaewoon that he was somewhat not okay to work with her again.
4 ) that fire drill scene maybe one of the factor to spark his feekings for agin but it didnt change his mind about her totally. And he smiled because the situtation was kinda funny. Even i smiled though i was angry at her.
5) He thought about it hard at night. But still next day he stayed away from her even in the elevator he was not happy with their closeness.
6 ) The last scene in the car actually happened after many weeks beacuse theh cannot show each and every day due to time constraints. He saw that she cannot apparently hide her feelings for him so he just gave her a chance to try to win him back that doesnt mean that he is giving in her.

Yoon Song Ah CANNOT be compared to his exgirlfriend. His breakup with both of them was for different reasons.
His exgirlfriend cheated on him with another guy. She didnt love him when she broke up with him. And when she came back it was not because she loved him it was all because of her needs and wants and she right away wanted him back just by saying him a simple sorry.

Whereas, Songah was just struggling to find a balance in that relationship she was frustrated with her own feeling of guilt and selfishness. But she loved him even when she let him go. And she is back because she loves him not for her needs. She is not after him to be in a relationship with him again she knows that she made a mistake big time and iy is highly impossible to get back what she has lost. She is back to be just beside him nothing else. And she is trying hard to mend their relationship and I appreciate her efforts.

I actually second u on this. This couple had been the most dramaless couple i have ever seen which actually makes it realistic and relatable. Their breakup was realistic too, it actually happens in a LDR. But the only thing i hated was how she ended up things with him. I can forgive her if she actually owns up to her things and reflects on her mistakes.

The fire drill didnt make him change his mind that was just one of the factor. Actually he said to her days after that. And what he said was to try to win him over again not that he is giving in. Now the ball is in Songah's court of how she makes upto him .
