I’ve finished all 5 episodes and it’s so satisfying to see that all episodes are action packed with many martial arts fighting scenes!!! Liu xueyi as the monk wuxin is really so cool! The storyline is also very intriguing, really want to know more of xiao se’s backstory and the addition of the gullible and innocent lei wujie is also very interesting! This combo seems off to a good start!
Just want to check if this has any relation to douluo Dalu/ douluo continent since there is also tang men/ 唐门 and all the secret weapons/暗器. Or is it just tang men in general that has that kind of settings with the secret weapon/暗器?
Chen yuqi did quite a good job acting as ling xueyang. Even as a side character that appeared for like only 2 eps, she really captivated me there! I would say that she’s really good when acting as a support role!
I’m at ep 5 right now and I really like the character progression. The FL is not all weak and I can see her progressing into a strong and powerful character and how she mastered that sword skill in less than 15 days! I also hope that hena will have more screen time in the future episodes!
But somehow this drama doesn’t really hook me in too much, not saying it is bad or anything but I can just stop whenever and wherever I like to do something else and continue back later on but I would say it’s a pretty decent 下饭剧!
I’m loving the first 2 episodes! I was worried that Jung somin superb performance as mudeok might overshadow go yoonjung but Go yoonjung did quite a good job here as naksu! It’s also nice to see jang uk having immense power here as compared to season 1 where his portal was sealed or something. Action scenes are LIT 🔥 I hope that naksu will also have action scenes combined with divine powers of buyeon! Btw can anyone recap what happened back in season 1, sometimes I’m a bit lost when I watch this new season hahaha

I’ve read the novel and I think her character is quite different from the usual FL or rather “weird” in a sense not that “innocent” kind but idk how to describe 🤣. It’s like the first time for me to watch a drama with the perspective of a child of a time traveller so I suppose that would be one interesting point(?)

Just wanna add in that xuanyi’s voice isn’t high pitch. You can look at her vlogs and she has a kinda low register, don’t be fooled by douluo continent (that’s dubbed). I’d say her voice is quite nice (you can watch sweet teeth if you want to know more) and she can actively change her voice to fit the character. Please don’t be too quick to judge. Thanks!
