I think Do Hyun So has decent character arc, but his transition from no resonate emotional connection to very…
To be honest, Hyunsoo always had emotions. He didn't lack emotion but rather he didn't know how to express them. He felt love, happiness, sadness yada yada yada but his brain just could not comprehend them. He was unaware himself honestly. And he also had empathy, perhaps less than other people. But he point is, he always did. So it's not that he 'changed' or his character got inconsistent or that the writer got lazy. It's just that eventually along the series, he learns how to express his emotions better. Why else do you think he would have panic attacks every now and then. He couldn't express his emotions in a healthy, normal way so his body would manifest it in a different way.
What an extraordinary article I can't believe how well written it is. This person really decided to sit down and enlighten us like that. Genuinely enjoyed reading it. I really love whatever you wrote about Flower of evil btw it's such a masterpiece and Do Hyun soo was such a complex and gray characters but he had so much good in him. I think we love anti heroes because they tend to lie on this gray area between good and bad instead of just being 'good' or 'bad'. Isn't that how most people are in real life? So I feel like anti heroes tend to have a more realistic mindset, they tend to be more relatable. You put yourself in their shoes and you go hmmm that's what I would do as well. Secondly, they tend to be more complex than a simple 'hero' or a 'villain'. They are complex enough to make you think about them....A LOT. And if you think about something a lot you're kinda forced to like it as well sksksk. So tbh, you can never hate a well written anti hero.
For real, no offense but two of the example used in this article are more Romance kdrama rather than sports drama.…
YES YES I agree chinese sports drama has so much variety and even it they have romance, they like to properly show the sports aspect and i really like that.
I have not seen Fight for my way as well (not a fan of Seojoon as well lmao) but Ive seen clips and stuff and I know it just isnt a sports drama honestly.
I play Badminton (almost pursued it professionally), Tennis (almost pursued it after giving up on badminton),…
For real, no offense but two of the example used in this article are more Romance kdrama rather than sports drama. Even Weightlifting fairy Bok Joo is pretty sports oriented could have used that as an example. And Racket boys is ridiculously underrated honestly, for me it was the best sports drama kdrama has to offer up until now. I really like sports stuff and Racket boys gave me that excitement I feel while reading sports manga or while watching a good sports anime. Also I agree chinese drama actually has a wider range of sports drama that focus more on the sports element rather than romance or something.
Ahhh I see so that's why. I've watched upto ep 18 it's pretty good, nothing ground breaking to be honest. But it surely isnt a bad drama everyone did a pretty fine job. I like the simplicity, and I really like the aesthetic of this drama it's very soothing and serene and pretty. A nice getaway from stress
it's there on kisskh and dramacool coincidentally I started this drama around 3 days ago lol wow what are the odds of running into you here in another comment section
Same i dont hate him. I hate the writer for making the story of xinglan nd her kid! I dont regret watching the…
Honestly everything related to Xianglan was unnecessary . She used to be his first love, died tragically, male lead still feels guilty but he has decided to move on. This was okay, makes sense, acceptable. But then she suddenly came back, like why
Xiao Shan is an interesting character because he wasn't your typical male lead hero, if only the writer handled…
Yeah he started off so good such a gray character, neither good nor bad but had his own strengths and weaknesses. And the writer decided to turn him into an edgy, depressed teenager.
First, I'd like to thank you for giving us spoilers to save some of us from stressing out and flipping a table.…
I used to watch Jianing’s scenes twice just because of how absolutely gorgeous she is. The stylist needs a raise and I have a crush on Victoria now. That’s all I have to say sksks
See a tragic ending doesn't necessarily mean a bad ending but this show :))). I kinda change my point of view now I don't dislike Xiaoshan anymore boy was constantly cornered. I'm just very VERY bothered by the script writing. Like what even?! Secret daughter with ex arc was soooo unnecessary. And the ending was just absolutely disappointing even for a tragic ending. Such wasted potential, the characters started off so satisfying and the writer decided to mess things up using every method imaginable. And that is what disappoints me the most, knowing the characters, especially the leads could have been handled way better.
One fun thing I experienced while watching this drama was actually being able to talk to a few people here in the comment section lol. There are 3 people I think who are just as active here in the comment section as I am, it was really fun talking to you guys btw, sharing opinions and just generally ranting made the drama a little more bearable .
