Anyone know the name and artist of this song? From Episode 5 Part 2. The one Nelson chose for his group to dance to? It's been haunting me. It's such a beautiful song but I can't find it anywhere.
- I liked it for the most part. There were some imperfections but the two main leads made up for it. - There's more than just two kiss scenes. LOL. I read one of the comments down below somewhere where someone had said there was just two. Nope. Expect 4-5 and they're wonderful. Better than the barely there peck that a lot of c-dramas have. - Romance is only a part of this story. It has a lot more to offer. The portrayal of real life issues was beautifully handled. It was nice to see. - The last six or so episodes could have been trimmed down to two at most. - Many things were left hanging, but not in a bad way. The whole show was about a person's revolving psych and life-long issues, etc. Those can't just magically disappear, you know? So I'm not upset with the ending per se, but I do think there needs to be a little tweaking done. - It was my first time watching Jing Bo Ran and he rocks. - I'm watching TOOL at the same time, and Yang Zi does really well with the different characters. I was never able to finish Ashes of Love. Don't ask why. It had all the things I like in a drama and the actors were really great. I just get somewhere in the middle and end up dropping it. So I'm glad I was able to finish one of Yang Zi's dramas.
Just finished watching the first episode. Here's my general thoughts thus far. ^_^- Cao Yu Chen is definitely…
Alright. Here's a brief breakdown on the events and plot of episode one.
So it starts with Cao Yu Chen's (ML) character in heaven fighting some dude (don't know his name) and in the fight they destroyed a ton of the God of Marriage's red strings, which severely messed up relationships in the mortal realm. As punishment, the ML is sent to the mortal realm as a human to fix all those broken strings and live a tragic love life.
Only, when he arrives, he has no memory. (He has a few nonsensical flashes though and maintains some of his power, I believe. At least that's what it looked like.)
During the year if takes for him to arrive, (time passes differently between the mortal realm and heaven) a faction of singles rise and romantic relationships between men and women become heavily discriminated against and everyone is rushing to file for divorce and disavowing marriage, etc. Fun times, right?
When the ML crashes to the mortal realm, he just so happens to bust through the roof of the sole remaining and financially struggling match maker's business. In fact, he disrupts and ruins the super secret blind date party that she (FL) had worked so hard to bring about, costing her a lot of money.
The two leads don't begin on friendly terms. He doesn't know who he is and she wants him to pay for the damages, etc. Also, him crashing through their ceiling makes him seem like a bad omen.
The FL takes him to her friend who works for the Official/Magistrate, but they didn't find a missing person's report or a criminal report for him. Thus it was decided that he would live at the match maker's residence and work off his debt.
Just finished watching the first episode. Here's my general thoughts thus far. ^_^
- Cao Yu Chen is definitely pretty to look at. - There seems to be a lot of slapstick humor. Personally, I laughed maybe 2-3 times as I'm not as big a fan of stupid comedy, but my mom, who was watching it with me, had a veritable laugh fest. If you like exaggerated comedy, you'll love it. Trust me. - The story's premise seems really interesting, as I've not seen it done before. (I'll break it down in a spoiler below.) So it has the potential to be somewhat unique. - The costumes are your same old, same old. Lacking in the way of originality, you know? They're not bad though for what they are. - The acting thus far seems okay. Nothing stands out as bad.
Will I continue watching?
Yep. For sure. (I'm not completely invested in it yet, but it's cute and lighthearted. It has potential.)
This hurts my heart. lol. To me, this is one of the best, most beautifully tragic and intricately developed plots. To be fair though, when I first tried it out over a year ago, I got to episode eight and while it was okay, I dropped it because it wasn't clicking for me then. It does take a minute to get into--I think because there's just so many threads that they have to weave together and they put a bunch of information up front. Anyway, I picked it back up and finished it a few months later and became obsessed. Easily one of my top 3 dramas of all time. But, I get it. To each their own.
He choke her as a kink thing some sort of sexual thing or he was angry at her so he was chocking her out of male…
It wasn't a sexual thing. The guy lost control over his powers after healing Yan Xi and the backlash hit him and he saw the FL as an enemy. He stopped once he knew it was her.

Can anyone tell me what does the Crown Princess's seal actually mean and how does it disappearing affect the situation?
The seal was over her heart. To join the two rings, she had to be pure of heart. When she fell in love with Su Mo, the seal broke and she was no longer pure. The high priest said he'd never seen the situation before so he couldn't say for certain whether her being in love would hinder the two rings working together, and the emperor at the time said that if the two rings didn't work, then he'd kill her entire family. So she chose to jump so that one of her other sisters could be chosen and "be pure of heart".
Here's a clip of the dance they did.

If you know it or are able to find it, you'll be my hero of the day! ^_^

Love it still. ^_^
