Absolutely adore this kind of drama. Relaxing, never want it to end. Yes frustrated by why Sam-dal is not suing, but we have to understand her worldview comes from the naivety that nobody is inherently bad, which she changed in episode 6. Blaming oneself like that is not that uncommon when the person is actually good and tries to please everybody. That's what she tried to do to "settle in" Seoul. Plus SHS acting is so absurdly good. The friend group, I wish I have one like that when I am 40.
For me this was a mid show. I didn't like how Park Eun Bin portrayed the immaturity similar to the austistic behaviour in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, but it got better in the later episodes. Could have done with a bit more editing, some scenes felt overlong. Still 8/10.
The ending was a lot better than I thought from the comments. the fact that they reconcile leaves a lot of room for interpretation of the final scene, and gives much more catharsis than say 25 21, and I didn't feel as sad as that. Overall, it should have been 10 episode drama, with the scenes from the opening also shown , would have been perfect. 8.5/10, Suzy was amazing.
To be quite honest cannot see the special appeal of reborn Rich for it to get such nomination. Then again I am not greatly fond of the story of Attorney Woo either (the acting was great no doubt). Would have preferred the glory over these two to get some nomination but I don't know the time span of the awar.
11th episode was a carry job by Shin Hye Sun. I knew she was a good actress but carrying an entire episode fully…
Like for example it would have been sort of better if she tried revenge earlier lives or something and failed or learnt something and then finally when she thought it was coming together in the 18th life, but it was cut short by the accident, then in the 19th life she had an epiphany due to the accident and things finally ended. p.s. I know there is a webtoon, I read it, but just this would have been a better story for me,
11th episode was a carry job by Shin Hye Sun. I knew she was a good actress but carrying an entire episode fully was incredible. Haven't watched ep 12 yet but it seems to be a good ending. To be fully honest the drama had no "great" story, the two plotlines which converged eventually turned out to be quite tame, but the acting and production values were of the charts, the overall idea was good. I would have preferred somehow if there was a thread from each of her life which coalesced into this one. Still was a fantastic watch, I think at the moment I prefer this to KTL.
Everything else, like peeling onions or watching over Prince Samir out of jealousy, had nothing to do with his…
Agreed, whenever I see him in his office I have to blurt out just do your godamn work. He is shown to be extremely incompetent. this aspect will drag the k drama ratings down even if the rom-com aspect is very sweet.
Gu Won needs to work, otherwise this is a perfect rom com. Absolutely brilliant. I was also watching the C drama hidden love seeing it so highly rated, and realized I don't like the expressions of female characters that C dramas use, they are so subdued, somehow miss the vibrance of these k dramas.
Watched both seasons together and liked S2 more than S1. The drama really climaxed around the last 3 episodes, which I preferred instead of the double climax in many dramas. Refreshing to have a good revenge drama again, couldn't care for Big mouth/ Reborn Rich, even Again my life was mid.
They're alcoholics. Heavily romanticised in many Korean dramas (if the alcoholic is female).
Background noise is also bad. But you can filter it out. Similarly, if you have your personal compass right you can filter out the alcoholism vehicle of this drama, and absorb the other things it has to offer.
Hae An was the one driving and his brother was the passenger. Tae Hee's brother ran into the street and Hae An…
One problem the brother insists he was driving. Unless they planned this together, which doesn't make sense to me, this shouldn't be the case. I am still skeptical of the psychopath theory because I am not sure still which was is the red herring, the smile at the end or the behaviour before. The smile at the end can be relief as well.
Also dropped this drama in ep 5, second k drama I dropped in my 4 years of watching.
p.s. I know there is a webtoon, I read it, but just this would have been a better story for me,

In any case let's see, I would be a tad disappointed if it goes the villain route tbh. Have seen this too many times.
