I am still enjoying the drama, but I agree with your take on Pei Yan's part/life. I actually fast forwarded through…
I like Jeremy Tsui and he is doing good with this part, but I hate this character. As you have said his storyline and character are rather boring and I want more of the main storyline. It gets aggravating with some of these dramas lately (one of the reasons I haven't watched a lot lately) that they focus to much on secondary stories and not enough on the main one, just my thoughts.
Disappointed this drama. I though it is about Wei Zhao's life when I watched the promo. But it is mainly Pei Yan's…
I am still enjoying the drama, but I agree with your take on Pei Yan's part/life. I actually fast forwarded through some of his scenes recently, with his mother, with the emperor, when he was walking through the streets. Now that they have entered into Yueluo, I am hoping it will stay more exciting.
I just started started watching this last night I am currently almost done with episode 3. I am really enjoying this and very intrigued with the story. I have not read the source material, so I do not have a basis for the characters. As of right now, the acting and martial arts choreography has been done really well. I am excited to see where the story goes. The cast is made up of some of my favorites, it is sad that this might be Jeremy Tsui's last drama we see him in for awhile or ever. This may also become my new favorite Allen Ren costume drama (Under the Power being my favorite right now).
The only negative I would state is the flashbacks or rewinds so to speak. It is not my favorite when dramas do this. Actually, I really can't stand when a drama does a scene and they don't show everything and then go back and show rewinds or different flashbacks. Why not just show the scene with everything. These first episodes, albeit good, they have done a bit of jumping around where I almost wasn't sure where we were in the story line. I hope this doesn't continue through the whole drama.
This was my first Thai drama I actually watched. I have watched a few C-dramas with BTH, so that is why I chose this one. It was okay, I did like others skip some scenes, cause it seemed kind of repetitive in some aspects, as the same people were always involved in the crimes or were at least accused of them. I have not watched the C Drama version of this, but might give it a shot.
I just started watching this drama a couple of days ago and on episode 15. So far I am really enjoying it. I am really enjoying the chemistry between the leads. I have always been a huge fan of Miles Wei, especially since Unforgettable Love, which is my favorite drama of his. The FL is pretty good, the only other drama I have really watched her in was The Story of Ming Lan, I just realized that the actor playing her father in this also played her father in The Story of Ming Lan. I like the low key romance, not a lot of angst. Of course, like many my favorite couple is RJ and ZFG, am enjoying their storyline a lot. As far as the FL's best friend's relationship, I haven't really paid attention to it, actually I have skipped most of their scenes, they aren't very interesting or pertinent to the story imo.
I really like the actress that does Zeng Di, she does it very well, and she's pretty too.
She was in LLTG, she became the "villain" at the end. She was also Ming Lan's older sister in "The Story of Ming Lan". I have watched her in several dramas, she is a very good actress and usually when she is in the cast it is as the antagonist and I love it, cause she does it so well.
XYX seems to be very traumatised or seriously affected by what happened to his wife and protecting his daughter.…
Yes I agree. I think XYX needs counseling and it is definitely not the right time for him to be in a serious committed relationship. Lili has always been fiercely independent and strong and she finally fell for someone she thought she had a future with, only to find out it isn't what he wanted. I am glad she was able to end the relationship, cause even though she was ready for a commitment, he was not.
I don’t get why in this drama they show so many characters falling in love so fast. I don’t know if it was…
I think there is a lot more time between scenes and episodes than it looks like to the audience. What appears to us may seem like a day or two, I think it might actually be months. But yeah I don't like rushing, unless they actually tell us, hey 3/6/12 + months later this and this occurred.
I never wanted SZZ to get together with Lili, they just don't seem right together. She is a very powerful woman…
I like seeing different takes on things. For me when they are together, I see more of a sister/brother relationship. I don't get that romantic partner relationship between them.
I find both yi chen and qiu zi compatible if not for their relationship with jixing i think they match better…
I agree about their compatibility. After they officially got together and Ji Xing found out about it, I don't think they added anything to the story and we didn't need to see their "happily" ever after. Their marriage or whatever happened to them could have been put in random conversation. I do wish Qiu Zi would have approached Ji Xing before she confessed her feelings to Yi Chen, at least if she really considered Ji Xing a friend to begin with.
My personal opinion, I think the wedding was pointless and we didn't need it. Yi Chen's and WQZ's relationship is so boring and every time I see them together I fast forward through their scenes. It didn't add anything to the storyline, except Lili's breakup (which could have been done in a different environment or the topic of marriage could have come up at different time).
Question: I haven't finished episode 30 yet, but how is HT allowed to merge Xingchen and Hanhai without approval from JX and SZZ, don't they have majority shares. How can HT even talk about doing a merge? I am not a business or investor aficionado, so pretty clueless about all this.
lmao this is such a random outburst i just felt the need to defend ji xing. omg i literally didn’t expect to…
This exactly was how I felt. I could not see any chemistry with Xu Kai and Seven Tan in the trailer and I just thought what an unexpected pairing, but I am biting my tongue now. I am loving this. I almost did not start watching it either. This is probably one of my favorite pairings of both of them in a very long time.
Lili is a powerful woman, go girl.So Su Zhi Zhou better ti give a chance to the new girl who likes him.I think…
I never wanted SZZ to get together with Lili, they just don't seem right together. She is a very powerful woman (as you said) and confidant and knows her self worth, he on the other hand is still growing up. To me, his affections seem like puppy love, not mature love, which is what Lili needs. I liked Lili with XYX at first, now it is like he is purposely sabotaging what could be a good relationship. I think he still has issues he needs to work out.
Why is this show only an 8?Are people doing this on purpose?
I never score until the dramas are over. If I drop a drama, I won't score it at all, unless I watched at least half of it. I think once the drama is over it quite possibly will go up.
The only negative I would state is the flashbacks or rewinds so to speak. It is not my favorite when dramas do this. Actually, I really can't stand when a drama does a scene and they don't show everything and then go back and show rewinds or different flashbacks. Why not just show the scene with everything.
