I am going to try and hang on til they get to present day, just waiting. Didn't know that about the dubbing censorship, which is weird, cause I have seen several C Dramas where they use other languages besides English and Mandarin or Cantonese.

Wrong Carriage, Right Groom: (spoilers)

I put on hold at around episode 13 or 14 I think. (Waiting for last episode tomorrow. Will watch that and that is all, probably won't rate it real high.)

My reasons for holding:

I think they had them fall in love way to fast and the grooms found out the brides true identity pretty quickly as well.

The story of the 2nd main couple was really good at the beginning and then it kind of fell apart when the general received an edict to marry the princess (which was stupid to begin with). Then the story of the 1st main couple started picking up, but just as it did we got episodes where we barely saw either main couple and it was all about the supporting characters, which dragged and I found it aggravating.

The master/doctor character was nice, but his wife was eccentric and kind of annoying.

The story got a bit off track and all over the place, that is my main reason for holding. The acting by the four main leads was good, I just think the story was poor, especially for having only 24 episodes they put way to much emphasis on the supporting characters.

Exactly my thoughts. Actually, after the big reveal of that the princess was behind everything, I watched a couple of episodes after and then stopped watching all together and then just watched the final two episodes and pretty much got the whole jest of the story, so I don't feel I really missed anything significant. They pretty much explained everything in the final two episodes. My rating is the same.

I want to start off by saying I really don't want to be negative. The story is pretty good. The acting of the main leads is great, but I am not sure I want to keep watching. Although, the story is good it is also aggravating.

My dislikes so to speak:
The story about the whole pharmaceutical thing, it is so weird (taking into account the previews as well). You see this great relationship between brothers (really cousins?), but it seems they are heading down a road of angst. FYS has clearly told his "brother" that he has no interest in the running of the company he just wants to work in the R&D, but it seems his brother isn't going to let that happen and his mother is instigating him to be more involved. I hate this kind of story.

Also, who the hell goes into a cave dressed up in a suit and looking all perfect without any sweat or dirt etc? I thought that was a bit overkill there. Horrible directing or scriptwriting right there. Supposedly he has been looking for his brother and he shows up without a hair out of place and no dirt and all perfect and everything. Really?!?

The English dubbing is horrid. It just doesn't sound good at all and/or go along with the environment. Honestly, if they were in that area, I seriously doubt that they would be speaking that much English, if any at all and there would be at least one or more translators.

The first few episodes were really good and what drew me in, today's episodes and it looks like the next couple of ones, I am not sure. I will definitely give it more time, because I absolutely love both main leads, they are really good and two of my favorites. The story although a bit draggy for me is still somewhat good. I really enjoy when it is the interaction between ZYX, CY, and LXZ. A few of the other supporting characters are a bit lacking for me and they kind of fade or rather pale in comparison to the MLs acting.

Yes I have it on my To Watch list and I started the first episode but haven't gotten any further, but I definitely will watch it. Love Chen Kun's acting.

Forgot to add, this is actually their 2nd Main Lead drama together, the other being Stand By Me. They did appear in Love and Redemption together, but he was the ML and she was supporting cast.

He is mostly a costume drama actor. He has done a few modern, but not anything big. He is best known for his role in Love and Redemption and Immortal Samsara and then most recently Mysterious Lotus Casebook. He is very good at costume dramas and seems to excel at them. I think this may end up being his biggest modern drama, as I personally haven't seen the others and this one seems to be getting a lot of notice.

I am rewatching this awesome drama, cause I am missing the great political costume dramas. (although, I hate the ending of this one) I decided to read some reviews and of course yours is first on my list. I absolutely love reading your reviews. They are so inciteful and well written.

There aren't very many political dramas that can top this one, actually Nirvana in Fire would probably be the only one, but there are a few that come close. Besides this one, I also enjoy Rebel Princess and The Princess Wei Young. I like the political games and fighting with bits of romance in it.

This drama is so good because of Ni Ni and Chen Kun's acting, they are such a perfect duo, that they keep you captivated and it is just so thrilling to watch them when they interact with each other. The story albeit with a few plot holes is still interesting.

It seems like quite a few of these modern C Dramas are starting to feel like the older K Dramas, it is like they are going in the right path, where as I haven't been feeling a lot of the recent K Dramas like before.

I like her a lot, I have seen several of her dramas and she is always really good.

Me too, I personally do not like it when they start a drama off in a present time and then go back however many days, weeks, months, years, etc., cause now all I am doing is when are we going to see present day?

He is so good looking. He is currently starring along side Esther Yu and Zhang Ling He in My Journey to You. He is not a high traffic artist and has mostly been in short (mini) dramas, but I think after his role in MJTY he will start to get more roles.

Most likely the reasons for the rating going down:

~several typical tropes (meaning we have seen all these before and they are just redoing them and not very well or original)
~The story is suppose to be about the two main couples, but instead the supporting couples/characters are monopolizing the screen time, not seeing much of the two main couples
~The story is falling flat
~The main couples fell in love way to fast and grooms found out the identities pretty much right away

For me personally, I enjoyed the main two couples storyline, the 2nd main couple's storyline started out so good and was enjoyable, then when the general found out everything, they got together and then he got that edict from the emperor/king, it went downhill. The first main couple's storyline started to get better, but then we are starting to see way to much of the supporting casts and it just deviates from there especially when there are only 24 episodes, you would think they would focus more on the main couples.

These are just my thoughts and opinions. I, myself, dropped this for now and am just waiting on the last episode. I haven't rated any episode since. It really is disappointing because I really like both main couples' actors (especially TXW and ARP), they are doing well and the acting isn't bad, but the story is just all over the place for me.

omg yes the bed scenes of those two are horrid

have you watched it yet? I will have to check it out later. I am behind on MJTY (waiting for some episodes to build up, because I love this drama and I want to watch more than one episode a day at a time, lol). Also, I kind of ruined Legend of Zhouhua for myself by watching all the previews (I try not to watch previews, because when I do I feel it takes away from the excitement of not knowing what is coming), but if I see previews I can't help but watch them, lol.

There are also a couple of other dramas coming out in the next day or two and one or two that I think came out today I want to check out. I have been watching a lot of short dramas lately as well, which I never thought I would like, but actually they aren't to bad. I like the 10 min ones vs the 3 to 4 min ones (those are just to short).

for the first since I started watching Asian dramas, I watched this drama at 2xs the speed, the last few episodes. I don't know how people watch dramas that fast, so I am just going back to FFing through parts I don't like.

it why I am putting it on hold and will probably fast forward through a lot or just watch the last episode, very upset about this, cause the 1st main couple's story was actually getting interesting again.
