So we have 2 main couples, and about 3 extra supporting couples (Ke and his idiot maid, the doctor/master and his exuberant wife, and now Princess and Ping Wei). The only thing I enjoyed about today's episodes was the duplicity that Tian Lei and LYH did and their fight scene. I am actually enjoying their plot now a lot more, loving them one upping KSZ lately.
Honestly, though I think I am going to just wait til the rest of the episodes are out. I don't like that they are focusing so much on the supporting characters, when this is suppose to be about our two main lead couples and we haven't even seen our 2nd Female Lead for a couple of episodes or more. WTH?!
After watching My Journey to You, I want her Male Lead to be Ryan Cheng. To see those two together would be so great and after MJTY, I think he will be on the rise.
I agree. These first 6 episodes have really been nothing but dialogue and story telling, lots and lots of story telling. If that continues I don't think I could handle more than 24 episodes of endless dialogue, even if the story is good. I want more action, I don't care about the romance aspect (although it is nice), I am enjoying what little we have seen of the martial art fighting and I want to see more of that.
I had this on my watchlist because I thought it would be cute, straightforward historical rom-com, something like…
Its a cute little rom com with all the typical tropes. Although there are irritating moments, the acting in it is superb with the story they have. It doesn't hurt to try it out. I just learned yesterday, I have to watch it before I watch the episode of MJTY, because they are literally night and day and it is hard to get into this after the intensity of MJTY, lol.
What a cunning little vixen our new female home wrecker is. I like how they covered up the abbess's poisoning. They really are a smart pair. Not much of our 2nd couple except a little bit in the first of today's episodes. Why did the general go to the capital by himself? Why wouldn't he take his wife with him, did I miss something?
It is so hard to watch this after watching episode 5 of MJTY. I guess I am going to have to save MJTY as the last ongoing drama of the day I watch, lol.
After blood of youth, I became genuinely interested in Ao Ruipeng so I always kept an eye out for his works. But…
If you haven't already watch A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College, he doesn't star in it, but has a huge part and that is where he first caught my attention and I like him there.
The two geniuses that pick assassin brides!!! At least one of them is smart enough to be very suspicious! It’s…
The youngest brother doesn't seem to be to smart either for he allowed one of the assassins to basically "pick pocket" him and he doesn't realize it? That just seemed to easy.
If and that is a big IF I had to say anything negative, it would be that there is so much dialogue, lots and lots of talking and explaining everything and every detail. I am patiently waiting for more action. I also think one of the elders might be part of the Wufeng (edit: or have an ulterior motive) I know they say there is only one who has lived and been there for 22 years, but maybe the ravens don't truly even know everything. That token was an obvious plant ( I know it was revealed to be), it was just so conveniently found.
Also I agree the Gong sister is too over the top with her antics and quirks, it’s almost like she’s part of…
Your last sentence is exactly what I am thinking. I have a feeling she is the true manipulator, mastermind, and genius behind all this. But at the same time it is so hard to figure out who is the real villain, cause imo everyone is suspicious.
What?? the second assassin is actually Jin Luo in Love you seven times! I just watched love you seven times and…
Yes and she is amazing here. I am so excited to see her in something else. I thought she was pretty good in LYST, although she wasn't in it for very long.
