I keep watching this over and over. I think it is so cute, even though I don't know what they were saying.

Title Gen Z Spoiler
I am wondering about some of these added side stories in this series. Is there a point for us to know about her ex husband getting remarried and their child going to the wedding, and also, her not wanting her ex and his mother to pick up her son anymore?

I understand why RXZ wanted to sell the house, but why did they say they wouldn't have a place to live if Ling Lan had a house too? I am so confused about that. RXZ was going to sell her parents' house, but then Ling Lan said just sell my house. I get the understanding of needing the money for the apprenticeship class, I don't get why they just didn't offer to sell her house to begin with and does no one live there now? So confused about that.

And, LOL... "Meng Meng, what are you doing?" "I am washing Tou Tou" LOL, and Tou Tou just stands there with her arms out....

First 15 mins of episode 21...... I have so many thoughts and am so mad and aggravated, I can't even right now. I thought I didn't like RTZ, but his mother right now is beyond anything (although, as a mother myself I can understand why she feels this way). It is just I feel his mother has never even really given Tou Tou a chance. Ok back to more watching..

Mr.Lui is the worst character in this series....hope he gets his karma soon
The person who plays Mr. Liu in this series Gen Z, plays a character called Dr. Gu in the drama currently airing called Here We Meet Again, starring Janice Wu and Vin Zhang

I am watching Here We Meet Again and he is playing a doctor in that series. It is funny seeing him in two different roles at the same time.

But I agree, I haven't liked the Mr. Lui character from the beginning. They should have known he was shady at the beginning, no one just gives you a facility to use for free and then when RXZ wanted nothing to do with the commercialization of TCM, Mr. Lui backed out of letting him use the facility, definitely he isn't really thinking of the best interest of TCM and the apprentice classes.

Today's episodes were a bit slower paced. I actually FF'd through a few scenes (the blind date scene and the baby item buying scenes), cause they weren't really related to the story that I am more interested in and for me were a bit boring.

What I did enjoy:
~The grandparents inclusion of Tou Tou in their New Year and giving her a red envelope. It was nice to see her interaction with the family and how they are accepting her.
~Tou Tou's and her bestie's (Xing Xing) conversation. Very sweet about them living together when they are old.
~Tou Tou's amazing confrontation with the patients in the TCM practice, putting all those patients in their place. Loved this scene.
~The scenery and their trip up the mountain to find the ginseng.
~Tou Tou backing her master and adamantly saying how she did not want to dig up the ginseng, cause it wasn't right. (even though she was excited initially at the amount the ginseng could get) You definitely see her growth here and her understanding of nature. It was really thoughtful (even though we know it doesn't last, as it looks like they will go and dig it up anyway)

Thank you, now that I looked him up, I have seen him in a couple of other things as well. I knew he looked kind of familiar.

mengmeng isn't really annoying - it's the way that the ML treats her that irritates everyone . she really doesn't…

my ep 17 and 18 views.So... You're telling me the idol trainee guy might never return??😭😭 I want him back…
I really enjoyed her call with RXZ, "Master, I've learned it. I've learned the lesson of life." I was a bit critical of her character before, but she absolutely shined in this episode.

Where do you watch it? Are there good subs?
I am watching it on WeTV/ Tencent app. The subs are good, except for episode 3 for some reason the subs are really messed up on that episode.

Aside from the storyline, what I love the most in the show is it's breathtaking scenery and the authentic natural…
Yes the OSTs are so amazing. I was just actually thinking about that, after watching today's episodes.

I don't get the mom. Ling Lan. First she is adamant about Meng Meng not staying and then she gives in ( I thought she had some kind of ulterior motive by agreeing, but didn't see it ). Second, she still isn't accepting of Tou Tou, that really bothers me (I am still at mid ep 18, wanted to come here and type this out). Tou Tou is always sticking up for her and being nice and taking responsibility for things others have done. Why does the mother keep saying Tou Tou's negatives are just to much? From what we saw Tou Tou hasn't done anything hugely negative, especially compared to what her own son has done. Everything Tou Tou has done has been for good reasons, etc.

"I will rent and stay with her"? Pure madness! So where is our tou tou's prince charming cause I am so close to…
I am now in the rooting for either Tou Tou not to have a romantic relationship or to get with glasses guy ( Li Quan), although he is probably going to end up with her best friend, since they are living together.

Meng Meng is starting to get on my nerve!! I still don't understand the role that she is emphasizing here. Either…
You said it perfectly!!! She needs psychological help, more than RTZ can give her. He is getting to attached and going way over what any medical professional would do with a patient. I mean he is willing to leave his family home if they return her to hers, what kind of medical professional does that? Not only that, she is forming an attachment to him that won't be easy to move away from either, it is all very unhealthy. This whole scenario is probably the worst part of this drama. I don't understand what the writer is trying to do here, because it is so very unhealthy and not what medical professionals do and that his parents allowed her to move in in the first place, I think was wrong on their part as well.

With every episode, I keep wanting more. Even though this drama shows every day, I really can't get enough. All the interactions between all the cast be it positive or negative are so enlightening and good. I feel like I am learning Chinese medicine, but in a very light hearted way.

That being said, there are really only 2 people in the cast I don't really like, Meng Meng, whom I think has over used her screen time. I think she has been there way to long, if she isn't fixed now, there is way more than RTZ can do for her and she needs to be sent back to her parents or a specialist or she will never be able to be function on her own again. RTZ is making her to reliant on other people. The second is the Rebecca character, I get her story and all, but I just really don't like her character. She just doesn't really seem to fit and/or she doesn't even try to fit in, it kind of makes it uncomfortable to watch her character on screen.

Tou Tou and her master are definitely very hard headed. I am glad they finally worked it out, but I was hoping RXZ would have been the one to go to her. I think he owed her more of an apology than she owed him. The other students owe her as well. Shi Yan even tried to speak up and say something, but in the end Tou Tou took all the blame, especially after that speech she made to all of them while taking the Chinese medicine vs taking the antibiotics.

And Zhao LuSi really has such depth at acting it is amazing to watch her, I was almost in tears as she was walking away from the medical center. She draws you into any character she plays and you can feel all her emotion with her acting, so much that you either love her or hate her, but she does it so well.

I came across this in youtube. I don’t undestand alot of chinese so anyone who speak chinese can help me translate?…
Everything that was shown in the videos has already been shown in the series, and from those clips and from the series there hasn't been anything like that. I doubt that would really happen either. Meng Meng already suffered from an ectopic pregnancy and then suffered a mental breakdown, right now TZ is just helping her to become better because he feels guilty. Granted, we all are seeing from what the show has shown and it seems there may end of being feelings between the two, but we don't know if is one sided yet or not. There is much to see. I think the videos are just explaining what happened with Meng Meng, but I am not familiar with Mandarin very well either.

The only negative I have is why do they keep ending these episodes mid conversations. They are the middle of discussing important stuff and then end credits start. Arghhhhh!!!

Other than that, I truly am enjoying this drama, it is so much more than the usual tropes of romance, backstabbing, and other random stuff they like to put in dramas. It is heartwarming, inciteful, poignant, informative, and a just an all around great drama.

I am a bit disappointed in the "backers/business men/investors/etc. Especially that one guy that took over leading the academy for RXZ. He is a real "asshole" (for lack of a better term). I can't anymore with that guy, ugh really, what a weasel. In America, if you were to donate your building or something like that for training purposes, you could use it as a tax write off or something like that, but I am not sure how they do it in China. I just think it was ridiculous of them doing things the way they did. They were both being petty.
