Doesn't surprise me, I mean its South Korea after all. Why don't actually gay-friendly countries make BL? Why…
us loves just making side characters queer and calling it a day. heartstopper, love victor and young royals were huge successes in us yet we dont keep on getting full fledged bls
I refuse to watch this. Queer stories get censored enough in China now Korea is practicing in that. I will not…
they should just cancel it. i remember rumors that nct jaehyuns bl drama was going to remove the bl elements but the writer strictly refused and therefore the show got cancelled
seriously ruined my day 🥲 screw these production companies.. they just use us bl fans for buzz. if i knew their handle i would swear at them all day long
what a shame it’s not a bl anymore. 👎👎👎 i don’t get them adapting kbl stories just to remove the main element. the main story was how the character got bullied for being outed, we could finally have some quality queer representation but nope. hopefully heesu in class 2 doesn’t disappoint like this.
Seriously, I've been hoping more of the boys would do BL, but I didn't think they would due to the previous way…
i have a feeling that more notable actors will play bl roles down the line as long the genre remains popular. han sohee (a famous actress) is starring in a gl movie. and now chanyoung in a bl? it's really a step forward for this industry.
looks like this won’t be a big production (so we’re more likely gonna get a short format show) but if chanyoung is playing a bl role then it is a big plus for this industry itself. apparently he’s just reviewing the offer. whatever that means. hopefully it’s not turned into a bromance since it’s gonna air on a bigger platform TVing.
kinda wishing this adaptation happened after KBL industry was established somewhat. this needs some talented actors to pull it off properly since all the roles involved are so complex which i doubt amateur actors could portray well… this also needs a proper budget to become a full length drama to cover so much content which i doubt would be the case for this one
almost forgot about this, any updates so far? is the filming done? all i remember is that the team was very strict about things being shared out of the set. hoping the rumors about this being a full length drama and on OTT platform are true, it’s about time kbls push forward into the market
life truly goes on. what a beautiful show, haven’t felt this emotional about a bl in such a long time. p’aof never misses with his shows. for me, jim and li mings uncle-nephew dynamic really made the show worthy and unique. both of them portrayed their flaws and struggles really well which i really find rare in shows lately. i could personally relate to them in a way about how sometimes it’s really hard to achieve your dreams so this easily touched me, i felt my struggles recognized. im not those geminifourth stans who came for them only (i didn’t really dig MSP that much) but they were easily the best couple in this show. their acting and dynamics were on another level here but maybe i just like a touch of more serious theme instead lol. those chin grabs felt different here, actually gave me the butterflies. this was a mini series but it left a mark like no other. would def recommend even if people hate shows that are rather slow.
just watched it, it couldn’t recapture manwhas essence and that’s fine but this just ended up feeling like any other typical romcom instead which is sad because i liked the manhwa a lot. it felt as if they took every trope possible from previous hit romcoms instead and put them into this show which for me kinda ruined it’s unique identity. overall i enjoyed it, it was an easy watch, nothing over the top which was a nice change. guess i understand why it was so popular. but to me, everything was fine until every character just started feeling very one dimensional to me.
can’t believe im seeing so many people bash jims character. he’s meant to be a raw and imperfect character who struggled a lot with his financial and identity issues. the main couples aren’t meant to showcase something fluffy; it’s weird how GMMTV audience hasn’t outgrown the same old formula by now but i guess they want a BL fantasy over a realistic show with queer themed stories that actually matter.
i didn’t mind mike being replaced but now ive realized his comedic factor might be missing which is a bit sad, hopefully gavin does a good job playing the role
