Just watch past ep 1 (and maybe 2) and I'm sure you'll like it. I, for one, was pleasantly surprised by this series,…
yeah a lot of people said this show surprised them in a good way despite them being even super fatigued of such shows. i'll definitely keep an open mind going in
i will probably watch this sometime soon and i'm scared i'll be disappointed because the ratings and hype have really made my expectations quite high. i've also disliked dmd romcoms and prefer it much more when they do serious shows (khemjira and luat) so that adds my fear factor. hopefully i'll end up liking this one!!
i've yet to finish this but i really like this so far. it feels very different for a thai bl. the color grading and pacing of this show is a quality you really only see in japanese bls. i hope this one manages to pave the way for more realistic thai bls. atleast within gmmtv themselves.
this was randomly such a... peak bl? i'm gonna need someone to console me rn bc i feel so sad over this show.…
everybody and literally everybody in this show was acting as if emmys were on the damn line for them lol. heck even a supporting character like cherds performance near the end was so darn good.
the plot was predictable but lord the cast totally sold it for me. i remember people disliking this show's slow pace but it really made me as a viewer get to know the characters a lot better and feel connected to them. i just love it when a show makes sure that even the supporting cast comes across as memorable.
phop's storyline was just super sad. imagine being seperated from your lover in the same life twice leading you to give up on your life and everyone around you. and mind you in the same life, people close to him initially rejected his love too which barely gave him any time to be able to love klao. and i cant even imagine how everyone around would've gone on after having both klao and phop gone in such a tragic way. for this reason, imo, this series really has a more bittersweet ending rather than outright a happy one. the scene where phop, jom, and kaew are crying when phop has the miracle stone retrieved from klaos dead body. ugh my weak heart.
speaking of the ending, am i the only who wished this series actually had few more eps and spent more time on current versions of them? i feel like it really would be a cool plot device if both of them ended up with vague memories in their current time and they would just somehow connect and uncover them together slowly. i don't know, i really liked seeing phop going for klao all over again and it really felt like a nice contrast. would've been a super cool concept tbh.
things i didnt like about this bl would be how they didnt really touch on cherd having connections with people in the manor itself. also the acting for the ending was a bit awkward, i don't know. netjj delievered so much chemistry but for some reason, the scenes at the very end felt like they werent as comfortable and were pretty awkward with each other lol. also the nc scenes! i liked the first one with phop and klao but the other ones were just super awkwardly placed and kinda felt very out of place.
god so many thoughts. i loved this show. it might not have had the most perfect writing but i really did enjoy it.
this was randomly such a... peak bl? i'm gonna need someone to console me rn bc i feel so sad over this show. why did everyone fail to hype up this show like khemjira and duang with you? i hate it when i become this attached to a show. this show will be stuck on my mind for weeks now.
this has to be domundi's most tears inducing bl thus far. domundi really said lets make the queers suffer. 10/10, i'm sorry. other production companies actively try their best to avoid even a bittersweet ending and chase a happy go lucky ending but dmd had the guts to go against the norm.
ive gotta say i really like how much pond promoted this bl himself. everytime he records something with an international star, he makes sure to reference this series. it's nice to see a bl actor being so openly proud of his work.
lots of thoughts! at first i was a bit torn on how i felt about the modern day duean being unrecognizable from the actor. like no matter how much the hairstyle or glasses can cover, thats clearly the same person lol. this kind of trope always annoys me but then it suddenly gets serious with themes of homophobia and suicide and i'm like oh okay so we're doing a tearjerker again. consider me in. sadly reminds me a lot of what happened to leslie cheung.
this will definitely be a super interesting watch.
for me this was the best pilot trailer dmd showed today by far. just everything about is a new frontier for the thai bl industry imo. the way its shot like an indie movie, the color grading, the realistic plot, and best of all not shying away from angst. dmd shows have definitely become better production and script wise but i felt like the acting performance was still lagging behind. this definitely changes that too. i really loved netjjs acting in this pilot.
i know people are gonna say its very jbl coded but im actually sensing a lot of inspiration from lost in translation and some of wong karwais movies esp during the taxi ride scenes near the end.
that pilot just screamed money. it feels like dmd shows are exponentially increasing in quality since khemjira. if they keep this up, they'll 100% end up leading this industry.
GMMTV wants to keep BL cheap and use it as money maker to fund their flagship straight series, but who knows,…
tbh you can already see the newer artists are getting more easy to produce shows whereas the established ships are the ones getting shows with extremely high budget. gmmtv doesnt even give their famous bl ships high budget shows lol.
why is the rating low? this deserves above 9 ps. rewatching this while waiting for the next eps of wu to dropðŸ¤
i wouldnt say 8.7 is low lol. but the ratings on this website are definitely all over the place. i liked duang with you and me and thee but in no way they were superior to this show. the audience here def just likes easy to digest romcoms more. not saying khemjira was perfect either but it was far more revolutionary, high budget, and well rounded compared to the bls that got higher ratings than this show on here.
shine and gelboys are criminally rated so low when you compare them to whats the top rated here.
crazy to think this was 7 years ago! i know it wouldn't feel the same now because there's so many better and higher quality bls that aired after this but back then this truly hit like a crack lol. felt super refreshing to get such a plot admist all the cheesy high school bls.
i feel ashamed for doubting this show when the official trailer dropped. p'aof just knows how to deliver a beautiful script with proper queer representation. i'm sorry but no other director in gmmtv can match what he does for his shows.
i don't think anybody is ready for the episode where nok sinjai appears. she’s gonna come on screen, act her heart out and have all of us bawling our eyes out.
it probably won't be as good as your name engraved herein but always nice to see something from gmmtv that isn't nonsensical bl slop made as a cashgrab.
it was okay. didn’t live up to first season for me. this season could be considered more polished but something about the rawness of the first one >>>
