such a beautiful movie! most heart breaking scene for me was when matsuri started crying on her moms shoulders repeatedly saying she wants to live. she was simply counting her days until kazu came in and gave her moments she would have if she didn't have her condition. she hated to realize this. ;_)

if i compare this to the jp live action ver, i don’t think this would match upto that show’s charm but if i think about this show as standalone? its really fun and nice to watch it.
i liked geminifourth in moonlight chicken the best so far but not so much in my school president. i think im gonna give that show another try after this and maybe ill like it this much.

im all for it though. i love how perth and ohm one way or another always manage to get a new bl partner each time lol. while obviously this probably doesn’t advantage them financially due to how bl fandom works, i think it really proves their ability as an actor to adapt to their new partner and have chemistry.

jay is such a great actor. i really hope this role showcases his acting skills. ive been following his shows for soooo long and it finally feels like a full circle moment that he’s playing a full fledged role in my most favorite genre: boys love.
GMMTV should definitely give him more main roles. I can see a lot of potential from him when it comes to acting and popularity. Especially if he plays BL roles. A face I feel audiences in SEA would easily swoon for.
A wholesome cute romantic drama would be a perfect and suitable introduction.

It's undeniable that KinnPorsche def did take Thai BLs to a whole new terrority. I don't know how to explain this properly but KinnPorsche feels it developed more of an artistic side of the BLs with its high production value. We pretty much never got a predictable BL with existing tropes with such high production value as KinnPorsche before. I feel like this will change that. It's like how popular K-dramas evolved. They followed the same exact rom com trope but with production value increasing, they managed to do those existing tropes better. This is what this BL can do if DMD obviously pushes.
I liked this drama but I have issues with it as well. My favorite part was definitely the show highlighting the harsh struggles the society brought to women, queers and poor people back then. They handled this aspect really well. This alongside the lovely cast really saved the whole show for me.
The reincarnation plot was interesting but I feel unsatisfied with how they wrapped it up. I understand that partaking in the blessings ceremony in their past lives allowed them to get together but still I was really expecting them to add scenes from their first lives so the whole picture would make more sense. This leads to the next flaw: the pacing. The first few eps are so slow, I was seriously going to drop it if I wasn’t curious enough to want to learn who the guy with the mustache was. The last few episodes were top tier though. Heartbreaking and very beautiful. My last minor complaint is regarding to my confusion is with Jom’s personality. Why did his current era personality didn’t carry over to the past when he simply just time traveled? Even in the last episode, you can notice how he has much more wit and humor comparatively. Why did he become so timid and bland in the past despite having all the memories?
The romance was really good. I liked that the build up wasn’t typical at all. Usually BLs go for “swoon worthy” moments right off the bat and it just puts me off so much but this series not doing it really made me enjoy the romance aspect a lot more.
Overall, it’s a great watch. It had a lot of potential. Easily would be a 10/10 show for me if they fixed the pacing and showed the first life they got together. A lot of interesting moments but it feels like it takes forever to get to them.
Watched the pilot trailer and I really enjoyed it. The production value screamed high budget which honestly isn’t the usual at all for Thai BLs. I don’t know why but I have a feeling this will take Thai BLs to a new territory. Just like how mainstream rom-com K-dramas have this specific allure to them, this can create that for Thai BLs.
Definitely worrying if the show is still slated for 2024 and they’re just doing the workshops atm. I hate the wait but I would also hate to see a rushed mess so I hope they delay this to early 2025. Still, they should pick up the pace a little.

Netflix Brazil confirmed it as a gay romance drama. I’d still expect the romance aspect to be light if they were being careful to describe this show to their Japanese audience.
