the only love scenes were between the actual 19 yos so the reason to remove the bl elements weren’t because of the age gap but simply homophobia. most likely because of a specific actor’s team. 🥴 this will flop badly anyways. glad to see that other rising mainstream actors like nam yoonsu are actually giving gay romance scripts a proper chance.

Title Love for Love's Sake Spoiler
my possible theory about the sunbae:

he was an actual author for a game and an acquaintance of myung ha and all the bar talks pretty much happened before the suicide
id assume they only knew each other from work and weren't THAT close (since myung ha was shown crying about how he has literally no one) but the news of his death shocked the sunbae so much that he gave myung ha a second chance in his own game, rewriting the original game's script as per myung has wish. so basically he doesn't exist anymore in real life and there's no alternate reality. myung ha's just a video game character with self consciousness about his past real life coded in him and a world setting close to his past life. even sunbae himself was coded in to act as a guide. in fact myung ha was probably predetermined to go through all these errors (since they kept talking about fate is fixed) and the main message of the story was that fate can be predetermined but still lead you to good things at the end which is why myung ha shouldn't have ever given up on his life. plus the end banner and the epilogue scene makes me think that their story ends right there as well just like in any video game or a show, there's nothing after that. it's a bittersweet ending but myung ha was actually happy.

Please questions, what indicates that myung ha is dead or that he died twice? And his sunbae is grim ripper or…
he says explictly he gave up on life by comitting suicide (the ocean part) and i guess the 2nd time he died was when he fell into void at the school roof. his sunbae isn't confirmed to be a grim reaper/angel but it's very obvious that the bar scenes was him acting as an angel at an afterlife place. he gave him a second chance to live in an alternate universe, but gave him a game like setting so he actually could do it properly.

im gonna miss the baddie mhok so much. gmmtv endings are always a hit or miss for people but i still think the majority of the show was everything to me and i won’t let the final ep change my perception of the series.

…and mhok and days journey ends here now 🥲 will freakin miss them so much, one of my fav bl characters

my personal choice of ending would be episode 9 though. it was beautiful and sad yet realistic. still the ending was nice enough for me atleast. i have no clue why eye donation and day being able to see again is irking many people. he always didn’t want to lose his vision and even when he had accepted and learned to live as a blind person, he obviously wanted to see again (with how many remarks he would say) as anyone in days place would. his (well set) family would keep trying for eye donations until the very end. it did feel out of place for me though but nothing that bothers me too much. i only didn’t like the breakup sequence in the whole show, rest of it was top tier. 10/10 for me. gmmtv shows rarely engage me till the very last episode so this one def did an amazing job.

jimmysea really improved their acting skills and they work so much better in here than in viceversa. they really made mhokday feel like real people to me. im convinced p’aof (loved his cameo) can actually make any ship work with his shows. he’s amazing at making sure the actors are playing the characters right and each and every scene feels right and natural.

though i have many favorite kbls (to my star, blueming, semantic error, where your eyes linger), this one just stands out the most to me. it's definitely my favorite kbl; it's just strikingly beautiful. it was simple but it worked so well. this bl should def be the staple for upcoming kbls.
