I have kinda dropped tnp after episode 9 because I was getting bored, can you explain what happened to it? I don't…
not the op but the climax was just very corny or atleast executed in the most corny way possible. as for the competition, it all ended up being so underwhelming.
now that i've caught up... for what it's worth, i atleast enjoyed how good the production looked. kudos to them for such a fantastic top tier job. otherwise it's your average thai romcom bl with some very random dramatic scenarios that make absolute no sense except now the comedy elements were stripped off so it all just looks so awkward. maybe i am being too tough but such screenwriting is embarassing coupled with the level of visual production we're seeing.
still, not the worst bl ive seen. i just expected much more. a much better execution to the climax. more messy politics. there was just so much potential with all the lore and the families but they simply failed to sell the entire fantasy for me. and i just know that the conclusion will feel so underwhelming based on the preview.
going to catch up and watch ep 8 and the rest tonight. ive seen many on social media calling the writing a huge mess. to be honest, the show already bored me after ep 3 or so but i'm still gonna watch cause nothings more fun than watching something so bad that you cant look away.
ive been saying that DMD needs to invest into writing as much as they do into the production but so many weren't agreeing with me. all their shows have this same problem for me.
so disappointed after all the hype and the ratings. i can see why people enjoyed it but it was a very average show with a very bad pacing and not much going on. i also disliked how corny it got at times. there was also no proper development for anyone. took me back to early thai bl days where every aspect would be so flawed. the abrupt ending completely destroyed the show for me though... especially even more now knowing that there won't be a season 2 and all the tiresome build up just ends here. with no proper conclusion.
the first half was great and enjoyable but the second half was randomly so bad and just filler substance. they could've easily cut out so much stuff from the second half and finish off the story properly. i wouldve loved to see sheng wang's journey in a new environment.
so much untapped potential with this plotline.
oh well, atleast the cast was enjoyable to see. the actor who plays sheng wang is one gorgeous looking person.
very simple and heartwrenching but i lived for it. amazing premise with a very good conclusion. lots of subtle details that can be easy to miss. i found blwatcher.com's review perfectly pointing out most of them. the bad boy x good boy dynamic always eats. not that i hate how the show unrolled but they definitely couldve done much more with this extremely cool dynamic the characters had and the subplots that were introduced.
however learning what the actor ended up doing irl just left a really bad taste in mouth. it feels so wrong to even praise his acting skills. ill just hope for japan to come out with more shows of such caliber so i can gush about them without any guilt
I wanted to like it so much!!! 😭 But I don't like their pairing, I didn't even like Cutie Pie. I hope it's…
not much into the bl industry but i think zeenew are/were their biggest stars from domundi at the time of the casting. it’s an easy move to give your biggest stars the leading role in your most expensive project to date.
i personally find their pairing okay, nothing extraordinary. i’m sure there’s like 2 side couples so that’s something for people who don’t like the main pairing.
omg they really did throw a lot of money into this. so many scene locations in just a single episode. every scene looked so good ugh, i can’t even imagine how better it’ll get when the show fully gets into the fantasy setting.
i feel so bad not waiting for more eps to come out first 😭😭😭
as expected, DMD went all in. i'm extremely excited. said this before but it has a high budget kdrama vibe to it which feels like a dream come true for this genre.
i just hope the plotline doesn't disappoint me. it seems so fun so it turning out boring and predictable would be so disappointing😭😭😭
very different from your typical thai bl as expected. loved it more for the aesthetics and the concept personally. you can easily tell there was a lot of artistic intention behind each and every scene to move forward the storytelling, even if the scenes were simple.
loved the y2k newjeans inspired aesthetic. i initially thought itd feel cheesy but it was done really well.
maybe i'll need to warm up to it but i didn't like how it ended. i think the build up till the end was insanely good but the conclusion felt off. i know they subtley hinted at baabin liking bua with all that weird foot stuff he was doing at the nail salon even without bua's presence but i still somehow found the conclusion... so rushed. since there seems to be a season 2, id just put their entire story there. it feels like their story here shouldve ended up as them being good friends after the rejection.
fou4mod and chian worked really well together. it's a shame we weren't able to see more of them having a proper romance without any strings attached to other people. the kiss scene at their first date was the highlight of the show for me. the entire sequence was shot in the most gorgeous way.
i love bad buddy but god how i wish he never took that show. fans from that show keep ruining and reducing his career to a single ship which is extremely sad to see happening to a talented actor like him.

not that i didn’t enjoy it but this rating definitely surprises me for this show knowing how picky people can be here

i hope this one has some good budget behind it!
