Just to point out the Maturity of GeSun.
They turn from acquaintances to friends to enemies to lovers. They are technically the representative figures of two different tribes. Their families get killed, their home and brethren were lost, they get injustice from the world, but they strive to survive with their heads held high and mighty, they go hand in hand from seeking revenge to changing that into working for their nation's peace. They could've sought revenge for the injustice they suffered, but they didn't. They could've fled together somewhere far away to lead their lives happily ever after away from troubles and war, but they realized that without the world being in peace, and without their people, rid of suffering, they can't live happily. They cannot be just selfish. So they work later to not survive themselves, but let their people survive and find prosperity. If that isn't mature,deep, insightful, I don't know what is. They relentlessly work for the tribes not to face wars and have their people's lives lost as collateral damage. That becomes their priority, and they accomplish that together. The reason, Tang prospered, the reason Sui couldn't take over Tang, the reason Mobei,Monan, Ashile and Tang never collided and turned the world into a bloodbath, is Changge and Sun. Their love isn't a love for themselves only, their love is one considering everyone in the picture, selflessly.

I wouldn't expect you to see Changge's and Sun's growth because their function of growth is one such 4D curve and their romance, is a wave function, fathomable and enjoyable, to people in the same wavelength, with an IQ and EQ above average. A romance devoid of toxic elements, dominating patriarchy, promoting feminism and a romance of a boy and a girl who are equal, to each other, makes each other whole, and make their journey and gestures wholesome.

I do agree with you that lock-down has eaten up people's judgement indeed. Since yours is a fantastic example. There is little variety indeed. That's the reason TLB is so spectacular, since it has managed to create a diverse and unique variety of its own with elements like romance which can get our heart beat above 120 just from GeSun's gazes, hugs and just forhead kisses. We feel out heart come out of our chest from their romance. You see how they portrayed that? Now that is what I would call FANTASTIC chemistry and SPECTACULAR acting. If it didn't get yours high, go ahead and find a cp that gets yours high, but don't come here to trash our GeSun and offend the actor Wu Lei and actress Dilraba.

I can barely convince myself that you're Dilraba's fan, since you didn't even notice her acting versatility in The Long Ballad. And you even compare The Flame's Daughters character and acting to bring her down.
