And I forgot to mention, she was a disciple of Wei Zhang and Li Shimin, the prodigies of the Art of War. She read all kinds of books on strategies and warcraft. She most definitely didn't grow the feat to defeat an enemy in war out of thin air. It was her long, hard working and enthusiastic efforts that polished the skills and talents in her. A 14/15 year old girl or a boy can be a master programmer or even create games an apps if they have the talent, dedication and effort, so I don't think why Changge's learning process exploration come off unrealistic. It's pretty believable and realistic to me. Since I've heard of real life geniuses and them getting the exposure and recognition in contact with experienced people who revere talents.
I think preserving character integrity is one of the most important things in a show. Imagine how disturbing it…
The character integrity maintained is really admirable. Both as individual characters themselves, and also their relationship dynamics. The ending scene was the perfect one as tribute to the two heroes, who have exhausted themselves to work for each of their tribes and also their alliance and brought peace and prosperity to people. They were heroes. Individually and also together. They got an ending fitting for heroes of their journey. The conceptual portrayal of their characters, imposing more importance on them being the characters they brought the impact with and not their own happy love flight that we normally see, is the best decision on the writing's part. The page started with Changge and ended with Changge, compiling her journey as a whole volume, where Ashina Sun played the most significant role in her life.
I die laughing at the director's instruction to them. They were also trying to understand what is he saying with…
I couldn't get past but forced myself to watch upto 14 since I heard she gets better arcs later, also I disliked the male lead character by Vengo and the female lead chasing ml forever trope ...maybe I'll finish one day lol But now I'm really worried hell. If the script writer doesn't give Ji Yun He justice, I'll have to rebel she's one female protagonist who has the power and story only given to male leads. I'm sure even if there are enough strong female leads in C-dramaland, it doesn't have one like her with dual power story and invincible characterization!

Okay, I get your point of that analogy. I'd like to add here that in the very beginning of the drama, Changge's talent and knowledge of Art of war was shown in the Cuju game which she won for her team. It left the genius trait of her very strongly. Way better and more intense than the manhua did, later in the story, some of her situations did appear to make her look maybe not all that intelligent, but those weren't battle situations, and those most definitely pointed out the fact that she had the lacking practical knowledge and more rooms for improvement. There are inconsistencies I find in the manhua in the Shuo province arc. Changge immediately became a military strategist under Gongsun Heng and voiced off her opinion which was granted by him in wars, but in the drama it was shown she worked her way up the ladder to get that position, first by working as a registrar and then slowly gaining her foothold in his army as a Military Strategist and Commandant, which is more realistic and believable. In the manhua, she escaped Tang in a cart with haystack within a very short time with all the soldiers hunting her down, but drama made it more realistic by delaying her escape. And as for heart surgeon analogy, it applies only to a certain degree, Gongsun Heng only took her advice because it was "unconventional" and "exceptional", also he was a man who revered talents, not like us who judge degrees and then flock to doctors or not like an egotistic experienced surgeon who doesn't take notes on a point made by a fresh graduate, which he himself didn't think of. You are entitled to your opinion, ofc. I respect yours. But I just wanted to voice my opinion in this regard as well. Also I loved the manhua and the Changge and A'Sun in it a lot too. But the inconsistency I noticed in it are there just like there are in the drama.
"Besides love " between ashile sun and li changge I wonder who has more military tactics/ strategies considering…
Changge can come up with really "unconventional" and "exceptional" strategies, which possibly even A'Sun doesn't come up with. But A'Sun in an intelligent and experienced military general as well as strategist too, in the drama and has dealt with wars since 9. He'd probably win on practical knowledge but Changge will beat him in theoretical knowledge. All in all, Changge can beat him in strategies if they are placed without any handicaps.

Her strategy to defeat Tu Kashe's force by using barracks from forest to dry up the river and afterwards setting Shuo on Potassium Nitrate to surrender to Ashile force were brilliant instances that already established her actions fitting for the description. Those were something, not any conventional military strategist come up with.
Sun killing that spy kid was kinda out of character and I still don't get his plan of getting arrested at all.…
In other words, taken into account the reasons mentioned above, if he didn't kill that spy kid instantly, we'd see episodes after episodes of consipracies and misunderstanding brewed by that kid, handled by Khatun. A'Sun just saved us from this hell drama cliche by killing him off.

Buzhen survived in the end luckily, who I thought had died a long time ago because he did in the manhua :3
