I love Ashina Sun of Manhua very much too, separately ofc, but here The Great Khan is also portrayed a bit different, for instance taking his mom hostage to tame him, so his nature in the drama becoming a bit grounded makes sense. As the story did not move towards A'Sun being Khitan origin with purely unknown identity since the beginning and rather drama hints at A'Sun's origin as the Central plains, so this set up makes sense.
