Can we stop talking about low budget this, low budget that ? Is low budget a synonym of bad quality ? I watch…
For a low tier drama i think they did a great job. Obv once we can notice is the setting, where there are limited spaces and background character but those tbh doesnt matter anyway. The costumes are fine, the actors look good, but mostly, the music scores eat. Thats what i really noticed. For a short period drama like this the quality is not cringe at all.
As someone who cant take the novel in the reader in me, tbh i just watched it for the leads. It wasnt even a watch, i skipped a lot. They sold us a romance story and im here for it but it wasnt the greatest love story. The source novel itself was poetic and beautiful thats why they can have those heartwarming confessions but aside from that the romance still feels lackluster.
I wont even talk about the plot itself because it lost itself and i did not feel connected with the characters that much, even with my girl, He Yan. Maybe because it was het backstory in the novel that made me feel for her but here in the series it was significantly reduced. I feel like i can understand Chu Zhao much more, his complexity is compelling it's honestly interesting to see how his character turned out in the end. Pacing did not allow the other characters to grow on me, even He Rufei was reduced to an obsessive little boy.
Acting wise i think the leads did great but the directing did not do them justice to showcase it more.
Meh, there are some good moments but overall, this jail arc is stretched out too much. CC should’ve been released…
In the novel afaik its stretched out even more (ps i only skimmed through this arc coz after the reconciliation more problematic writings showed up lol)
Im so attached with this drama (even the actors) guys i wrote about 4 pages in my journal or else i might really go insane knowing its ending tomorrow😭😭😭
That happens in China? If both of the actors from the same drama gets so much hype that means they never be in…
Most bromance cps are never seen together again so now that an uncensored bl managed to breakout like this, it's most likely they wont either to protect their careers as both are entering mainstream
My perspective is as follows: CC doesn't care about the truth behind YY — the past is irrelevant to him; What…
Definitely agree! It's just always mutual for them, actions are the language that speaks for them. That's why Chi's action was also the source of their misunderstanding because Weiwei was always trying to read into his actions (interpreting Chi's patience as him loving him less etc). Glad they at least promised to solve their problem together🥹
Ok happy they reconciled but i feel it was weird and rushed they didn't talk as i thought they would , like explaining…
Anyone cmiiw but i think it's because weiwei already knew thst it was chi who was actually taking care of his mom that's why he was always away. As for the words they said to each other and Chi's "Did u miss me?" weiwei replied that 真话烫嘴 meaning the truth burns the mouth, is that some people refuse to say what they really mean. Chi said that when they had that big fight that they were apart of 10 days, he also said the same thst he did not miss him. They knew that what they said wasnt what their heart means, letting those out in a fit of rage.
Then when chi was going to hold weiwei accountable for the yueyue incident, the latter said that he hasnt even confronted him yet with him hiding his mom's issue that pretty much lead to all those misunderstandings. Hence Chi proposed that theyre now even and let bygones be bygones. They promised each other that when problems arised, theyre going to say it out loud and talk it out.
These two episodes were such a blessing! When i read the novel i just knew this arc was going to be my favorite. Phenomenal acting, especially from Zi Yu🥹 I have to praise our director too for giving us such gut wrenching scenes and for our author for the minor changes (chi's and wu ma last convo) that gave me a cry too. I was bawling my eyes out so bad, reminiscing the days me and my family had to take of our sick grandma. She had pancreatic cancer too and was in so much pain, she kept the fact that the doctor already gave her 3 months to live. Ahh.. watching these episodes made me relive those moments, i get teary eyed too quickly.. That's why i could never blame Wu Ma's decision to hide her sickness😞
All the pain guys and building it up to this moment felt so freeing not gonna lie, angst was worth it. I dont even remember in the novel it was mentioned Chi cried, but for sure Tian couldnt stop himself from shedding a tear😭 Watching new episodes feels so bittersweet, knowing this is coming to an end but im also really really grateful🙏🏻🥹
I think it's good to end it asap anyways even tho this kinda hurts lmao it's just that controversies pop out left…
Them cutting scenes, such as people assuming there shouldve more into the "NC" scenes plus the leak photos from the Meng Tao arc that they skipped over, also deliberately giving Wang Shuo more screen time because his company allegedly paid them💀
