even as a big fan of XZ im still scared of watching this series because after checking ep 1, the fl already gave off the damsel in distress energy. In addition, master x disciples just weirds me off. OAO can getaway with this for me because its not like leads ended up together in that timeline.

I heard that TLP's plot is quite interesting tho. Can someone spoil me something big that might actually push me to watch this. I really need that external motivation yall. lmao

having two big stars in cdramaland is really a hit or a miss. It is either the leads obv will star in a big budget s+ drama that actually puts in the work or a production team that leaches off the leads' popularity because nonetheless, it will be successful despite the obv shitty CGI, choppy editing, cliche and slow af plots, filler scenes to make more profit and not even making the effort to promote the show. a perfect example has to be LLTG vs Legend of Fei, or LBFAD vs Immortal Samsara.

In addition, the new regulations placed by the c-gov jeopardizes the quality of some series. TTEOTM had so much potential yet they had to compress the 60eps to 40eps in fear of losing momentum, resulting in choppy editings and a rushed plot. Adapting novels with heavy politics isn't the wisest choice if they wish to compress it because the reason why the characters are motivated to do this or that just feels dumb sometimes is because they kept on simplifying and repeating it.

The dumbing down and making characters less cruel in historical because MCs always have to be righteous and fight for their country. Tho I wasn't the biggest fan of Goodbye, my Princess because I could not tolerate toxic relationships, I do like LCY's character for being complex and unpredictable.

comparing ALZ taizi to GMP's taizi, Han Ye still feels 2D.

there's no doubting with gong jun's acting. afterall, if he aced wen kexing in WOH, he will surely do well here as well.

the new murder case is perhaps the way to finally get Gu Yunnian out of the picture by him and his famlily going down.

this is so accurate lmao! i just dont get how anning gets drunk here and there and mingxi only got to confront her last episode, the only important info we got is anning's nightmares. there's too much screentime for cheng'en bathing and touchy with her bodyguard. literally every cdrama flaw. good 10 episodes and then things soon go downhill, we end up with very rushed endings.

can someone spoil me from the novel, will Ren Anle be the crown princess? Also, so far how how accurate is the drama with the novel? I remember reading a few chapters back then but got busy i completely forgot about it lmao. I think their first meeting wasn't like eps 1. But the earlier episodes were really great. So far, the pacing is like a turtle and there are very unnecessary scenes for Di Cheng'en.

the amount of trust issues these two has *face palm*. like I get it yall are in the heat of emotions and people have a hard time thinking straight during these moments but they just end up assuming and concluding the worse out there. there is never a "she can never do this, I need to get to the bottom of this" thingy. It pretty much shows their connection is fragile. YXW believes TTJ's nature can never be changed, the other one is pretty much stuck on the original YXW character (cant blame him for this). It's the same pattern; someone dies because of TTJ, TTJ agitates YXW and shows his ruthlessness, YXW reacts and in the end, she gets to know the real reason as why TTJ did that, YXW realizes she was wrong, and the two's rs gets fixed only to be broken down again.

Perhaps if YXW knew it was not TTJ who harmed her grandma, she wouldn't have rushed things that quickly. If I remember it right, during the market scene where they were literally flying while YXW was carried like a princess, she realized TTJ is just TTJ right now and not the Devil God he was in the future. She was thinking perhaps there could be other ways to destroy the devil bone w/o piercing him with those 9 nails. not quite sure tho..

This couple literally has trust issues against e/o and i cant blame them. One saw the latter kill her sect and family and was this omnipotent and merciless devil, the latter was betrayed and abandoned all his life.

wow oh wow! the roller coaster of emotions I experienced from these two episodes was crazy. from me feeling all scared on how ttj reacted with yxw betrayal for xiao lin, xiao lin and ye family grandma's death, to ttj's yearning and obsession for yxw to stay, the wedding and the night of the greatest betrayal. that was so painful I was bitting my blankets and was just crying to myself, "how is this so messed up?" it was so heartwrenching to watch TvT. LYX and BL acting was everything *chef's kiss*

Li Susu can easily get triggered when TTJ murders someone as we can see her trauma surfaces. The image of TTJ when he was the Demon God keeps on replaying on LSS mind and that's when her emotions get out of hand and she says all those hurtful words.

i swear i love the cp's tandem so much, the cat and dog energy is amazing HAHAHAH! Hating on each other while saving each other's ass. Also, their bickering is top comedy and the way they tease each other ugh I cant get enough of them.

Currently at ep 33 and I'm obsessed! No dull moments, and I love love love the two couples. I love how well-written the characters are and are not just filler characters as I've seen in most dramas. Watched this for Chen Xingxu but oh my Landi's smile is so captivating I swear. I like how they didn't dub the main characters too since hearing the same voices has been quite intolerable for me.

CXX 's portrayal of these four characters is impeccable. His acting has significantly improved. Wen Ren has to be my favorite soul shard HAHAHA! I remember watching Goodbye My Princess and being impressed with his delivery in most scenes, except that his crying scenes for me were quite bad. Nonetheless, he still has my heart haha! (I prefer his Li Chengyin look tho hihi). Ugh, finally a great xianxia drama to feast on after Cang Lan Jue.

I'll never get over how SDYQ died after sealing Guixu. Spitting literally a liter of blood, fell onto Yetan's arms, was shivering and could not even blink, talked a little with Yetan and passed away with his damn eyes open that turned blue. Like those damn open eyes, idk why it had so much impact on me. I literally had to pause to process what was happening..

I feel hesitant about finishing this drama huhu

we've waited for years, i dont give a sht if I have to wait for a whole decade. As long as these bl adaptations air because I feel very sorry for all the people who exerted time and effort only for it to go to waste

i also skipped a lot. i hated how they highlighted the amnesia part but then just brushed it under the rug after a few meetings of the two in the palace wondering why the feel familiar to each other. I know this was a political drama but it's just poorly executed. One thing that kept me going is just me being curious how all sht would end and how will Chengyin suffer.

great pacing from the start and soon all stuffs started going downhill. cant believe I lost sleep to a drama id rate a 6.5. painful and stressful tho, I guess that was the goal of the writer.

new trauma unlocked! I hate it though that they stretched the amnesia plot till the very very end. My heart is in pain not because Xiaofeng died in his arms but for Gu Xiaowu. He surely deserved that punishment of being alone on that throne but dang that really is the most horrible shit, dying is much better. Overall, rating this a 6.5/10. The ML was lacking in crying scenes I was kind uncomfy watching him...

I was really looking forward to this drama and I watched the first two episodes and it felt okay? I stopped because I was too busy in university, then I soon read negative reviews and I decided to just dropped it. Sad the republican era xianxia plot is something refreshing but I don't plan to waste my time on a drama with a disappointing chemistry between the CP 😔

Nobody can be a perfect parent. Not even the gentle empress Xuan. She felt guilty for her child being way too benevolent that others took advantage of him. Her daughter the fifth daughter was a spoiled brat.


For the Cheng family, at the end of the day, they're still family. They're a family that sticks together. Yuanyi redeemed herself and Shaoshang forgave her. The present is what matters for them now.

I've been stressed in university lately so i chose to watch some fluffs. I rarely watch contemporary romcom because they're cliche but I just need a breather. 🥲 Idk what happened, i watched Esther in LBFAD and found her voice annoying but soon got used to it and now I'm basically charmed by her beauty and acting.🤭 I'm at ep 10 and hehe they look together. Idgaf about the second lead cp tho, i skipped all of it. I think their side story is dumb. 😐 Oh well🤷🏻‍♀️
