well damn, if the new regulations applied to LYF id be sad af. it's like the heavens saying to me I'm better off studying my butt off because I'm graduating next year, instead of obsessing over this silver haired HAWT nine headed snake demon!! i cant even function properly these days because I'm devasted because of the novel! speaking of him, this episode was like chill chill, introducing us to xuan's political journey, tushan clan matters and then KABOOM! I saw Fangfeng Bei and immediately screamed like as if i didn't see the trailer lmao. Im such a simp for him
Her first love Xuan, but she grows distant from him (from loving him) as he gets near to the throne. She then…
i also considered putting xuan as the first love because they're childhood sweethearts but if i were to base on the love she experienced when she's already an adult, then jing is fits the image of the first love. ofc not every love story can be 100% befitting to the three love theory. i believe xiaoyao only had platonic love for xuan since the beginning.
let's have a discussion yall, what's your take on xiao yao's three love theory? who is her first love, intense…
based on the three love theory, we experience three types of love in a lifetime. id say i would give tushan jing as her first love, the puppy innocent type of love. that's how i see it. tho this type of love doesnt quite fit them in some angles because we describe first love as a fleeting emotion but their story took hundreds of years in the making. but the start of their love story is just like this, sweet and just feels right. if they were just wen xiaoliu and ye shiqi, they would have a simple and happy cute love story. also, tushan jing met xiaoliu first in qingshui town.
intense love can be more be fitting for the ship xuanyao, it's just because xuan doesnt deserve either of the two love theories. he has used her for his own political aspirations in excuse of having power in order to protect her. it is intense/hard love because they have hurted each other so much. tho this isn't really the case because it is a one-sided love for xuan, but their story brought valuable lessons of pain and loss. she is xuan's hard love.
lastly, xiang liu as xiao yao's unconditional love. he is her true love they say, her soulmate, like twin flames they unexpectedly find a deep connection. their story was rough. xiang liu felt like a water dispenser who poured hot & cold water simultaneously, you just sometimes cant understand him if you were on xiao yao's shoes. in addition, the political conflicts of xuan with him makes it complicated. that is why xiao yao is scared of falling for him because she'd rather protect her heart. on the other hand, his love was unconditional. he understood her worries of falling in love w him. never begged, never asked, a silent protector who wishes his girl a worry-free happiness.
according to the love theory this third love is supposedly the true love that last and the greatest ending, yet ironically, xiao yao ends up with her first love, tushan jing.
let's have a discussion yall, what's your take on xiao yao's three love theory? who is her first love, intense love, and unexpected unconditional love?
I find it really hard to buy into all that Romeo and Juliet baloney -- "We can't be together because of the family…
yup. the last episodes of them just yearning for each other yet reminding themselves they just cant be together because of these issues grew me tired. im just holding on to this drama because we're nearing the end and i love the leads.
okay but LMX turning his back feels so OOC. Isn't he all scheming and smart? DZY can fend for herself! the ambush was to delay her for god sake. Plus with Han Ye around, he will definitely be swift in providing reinforcements. according to the trailer, will they actually grant LMX death with poison?
i was planning to put this on hold because after the big reveal in the court, things kinda bored me. i decided to pick it up again and han ye killing the chancellor spiced things up! i mean they were already foreshadowing from the earlier scenes that they'll reveal wen shuo's identity. thank goodness we can see the cruel things han ye can do for the people he wishes to protect.
ah-nian throwing tantrums I guess.. is expected. grew up spoiled and received all the love all for her and there's her father suddenly dropping a big bomb. i wonder if her not accepting her big sis also stems from the fact that she is also insecure of her mother's status is incomparable to xiaoyao's mom? or maybe because she looks down on wen xiaoliu then bam! she is actually the first princess of haoling. pls tell me she gets better like after you know, she gets to know what her sister went through. she's blessed to have a great childhood and a family who dotes on her greatly, even xiao yao already cares for her that much.
ugh xiang liu feeling all betrayed when he knew her real identity because he thought he found someone he can deeply relate to and wishes to be that person for her, the person who will never abandon her, whom she can rely on and run to. xiang liu-ah, xiang liu, she did not lie to you, she thought she was legit abandoned and unwanted, don't be sad our snake demon :(( he has to be sad mostly for the reason tho that with her true identity, they can hardly be together anymore TvT
yang zi even has such an amazing chemistry with a female actress lmao the boat scene was gold! i kept on screaming this is too crazy HAHAHAHAA! Xiang Liu in female form deliberately flirting with XY in male form, the scene where he fell into her arms made me all giddy
it's incredible how great YZ chemistry is with everyone. I srsly enjoy the romantic scenes with each male lead and never felt icky or like how I wish we had more screentime of this/that ml. each one of them standouts for me, no one is boring or behind. we know there are many xiang liu stans because of his complexity and how he will switch from this cold-blooded character to a lover willing to sacrifice everything (and his silver hair is just too HAWT too lmao). deng wei's tushan jing captured our hearts with his warm heart and innocence. i dont know with yall calling him boring but he is definitely not perfect but he is just too good (he deserves the world). there are not many cangxuan stans because of what he did and will do in future episodes but we can't deny that with the right actor you really will love and hate him. today's new episodes were crazy good I cant help but rewatch ZWY & YZ's scene. cangxuan caring for xiaoyao earned him a point for me.
while everyone says CX is such a red flag and TSJ is the biggest green flag, meanwhile, we have XL being a traffic light lmao. He'd be hurting WXL but we can see he secretly has a soft spot for her. All that trauma made him like that, poor man. He better redeem himself in the future, I can't help but vie for him because that damn silver hair is HAWT. Also, I just love Tan Jian Ci :>>
This is such a comforting drama. You can resonate deeply with Ji-eum. As expected, SHS acting did not disappoint. When the memories from her 1st life finally surfaced, her cries hurt so much. Also, ABH as Seoha made me want to comfort him so bad. In the early episodes, the sweet interactions of BJE x MSH were so good lmao! BJE's interaction with Aegyeong and her lil sis Chowon was very much heartwarming as well. Even the 2nd CP didn't feel dull despite how simple their story was.
I do get why some are disappointed with the plot. I understand this is mainly romance but they had enough material to expand the plot. The plot twists from the webtoon would've been very interesting. So much potential wasted. The excessive flashbacks were quite annoying.
But separating the adaptation from the webtoon, I'd say the plot wasn't solid, the drama had its flaws but what matters for me is the impact this drama made on me. I feel satisfied but also sad how quick this drama ended.
im at episode 8 and literally no dull moments with FDB and LLH. And now that DFS added to the duo, their dynamic is even funnier lmao. Two great masters of jianghu whose martial arts are sealed paired with this talented free-spirited youth. The idgaf man always quarreling with the biggest LXY fanboy meanwhile the other is like a mom whose eldest and youngest keep on quarreling.
