You know what, you may have a point there about manga based dramas in general. They are a womans fantasy and that's probably why we love them. I hate the toxic modern Cdramas with the men always cheating and how normal they make it seem. If the antidote for that is a good reverse harem dorama, then bring it on!

These guys are momentarily there as a prop or a plot device, I really don't see them as part of a love triangle because 90% of the scenes are the ML and FL alone.
But the important thing is that we both love this drama.
Woman goes to a small town and falls for a native. Seen it a hundred times on the Hallmark channel, it's not like Korea invented the wheel or something. Plus I've seen both dramas and they feel so different once you actually take the time to watch them. Some viewers are just bored but too lazy to really think about what they are watching.
