The screenwriter is involved in a serious scandal and is being blacklisted. From past experience, this will stop any of her dramas from airing for at least a year, maybe a few years. But it's China, so no one really knows what will happen for sure.

Let's have a little bet that this isn't postponed but cancelled for the foreseeable future. The screenwriter scandal is not something the CCP is going to forgive and forget. I just don't understand this system where the hard work of so many people gets cancelled because of one rotten apple Karen.

This sounds fishy to me. These are good actors so I hope this comes out quickly and without an editing mess.

Sounds like a retro American soap drama from the 80s, like Dallce or Dynasty, doesn't it? But somehow it still feels more slice of life than the usual family scheming and stabbing. It's the greatness of Japanese writers.

She's actually pretty accessible, and doesn't make viewers jump through hoops. She's against someone taking her work and posting it against her wishes and she has a right to be. And you know, even if some subbers are a bit sensitive about their work, they don't owe us anything, they do it for free, so we can't complain.
