I don't watch that 40.5 episode or something. I like the ending that we got in ep 40. It stayed true to the dramatic, sad, and beautiful nuance of XFF journey in her life. I don't want fanservice ending ruined the beauty of the real ending.

Illegal site is illegal site. You basically can't force ppl to watch it there just bcs you hate chinese govt or something. It's people choice. And I will always encourage ppl to watch them in LEGAL platform like Youku, IQiyi, WeTV, Netflix, Viki, MangoTV, etc. However, it's more safe to watch in legal platform (illegal site is full of malware, annoying ads, virus, etc) + it's about morality about stealing contents. The platforms are also doing business. The production teams are doing business also. So many ppl also involved there. They need to make more profit to make more big budget and high quality dramas. Many people also work in the entertainment industry and production companies + platforms. They need to earn money with their jobs to keep alive for their FAMILY.

But I know what's going on with the book and the princess had sex with eunuch in the novel. Can't erase that from my mind even though the drama chose another route. But like Dr Ghost said "together for 20 years" got AMBIGUOUS meaning especially if they didn't clear up the misunderstanding + confirm what "together for 20 years" meaning in the drama ver.

Maybe MDL need to add the related shows for The Beauty Inside (both k-movie and k-drama version) in this page as korean original story. Even though FYH only adapted the GENERAL setup (face blindness + face changes 7 days in a month) but the story and setting are totally different. The production team BOUGHT the copyright already from TBI to make this drama.

Umm but i watched so many sex scenes in chinese dramas. Both modern and historical dramas. For example "Story of Kunning Palace" (historical drama) had sex scene between Xie Wei and Jiang Xue Ning in ep 36. Xie Wei kissed Jiang Xue Ning in the bed after that he kissed her in the neck. "Hard to Find" (historical short drama) also had sex scenes in ep 14. They kissed each other intimately. The ML kissed the FL in the neck then they showed the loose clothes and naked area near FL's chest. After that the FL got pregnant. It's so obvious they did the sex scenes.
"Only For Love" (modern drama) also had sex scenes multiple times between Bai Lu and Dylan Wang character. Bai Lu even wear lingerie to make it very obvious. They kissed wildly in the bed also.
I haven't watched the drama yet but the comments here are not too good from the beginning.

Ummm I honestly need MORE episodes for Jiang Xue Ning and Xie Wei romance arc because it was so fast in the end. They only give last 8-10 eps for Xie Wei arc with Jiang Xue Ning. But Bai Lu and Zhang Linghe chemistry was so on FIRE so I have no problem with their romance in the end.
SOKP is still my no 1 fave for rebirth period costume romance with satisfying ending, great kisses, and hot chemistry.

Talk about OE, actually without that fast food happy ending, we got open ending for The Double. It depends on how we intrepreted the ending.
Like XH's spirit come to her vision after decades of her waiting time? Bcs the pear blossoms tree that they planted were so damn huge and tall. And it was like a time metric for me.
Or it was a dream of XFF because of longing in her waiting. So the tree can be huge and tall in dreamy land.
Or XFF in her death time finally saw XH come to her in the afterlife with the visualization of their pear blossoms tree and red clothes.
The ending itself actually is beautiful with a lot of metaphors. But I also hope they will stick to novel ending.
