A VERY CUTE DRAMA ! Need a 10/10 ??
This is an adorable drama that approaches romantic relationships from a different angle. It's not about physical intimacy or seriousness, but rather a kind of friends-with-benefits dynamic that has all the best qualities of a relationship. All of this is carried by a great cast of two very cute young people who make a beautiful, simple couple where neither is toxic nor annoying. Beautiful shots, beautiful moments, beautiful music… this drama has everything to charm! The ending is sublime, and the manga's themes are interesting. I had a wonderful time watching it, and I'm so glad I didn't rely on the disastrous ratings on kisskh, because there, all Japanese dramas are poorly rated before they've even been seen. Honestly, I highly recommend this drama, and I'm delighted to have translated it.Was this review helpful to you?
BEST ROM COM POLAR DRAMAS !!!!
This is a drama I've been eagerly awaiting, especially for its cast, like many others! I was a little perplexed by the genre, as I thought sports would be a central theme, and not an action thriller. I didn't want to spoil too much with the trailers. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover how diverse and charming this drama is: whether it's the romance, which is actually quite present, the mysteries to solve, the depth of each character and their development, the ultra-stylish music, the humor, the seriousness, the drama... everything blends together perfectly. From the very beginning, I think it's a blast! It's super stylish to see PARK BO GUM in a ring, just like the other fighters in their respective disciplines, while also giving us a glimpse of what's going to happen. It really makes you want to see what happens next; it's very well thought out, a bit like in Hierarchy. I like this subtly American touch.
The casting really touched me, whether it was PARK BO GUM, true to himself: courageous, adorable, endearing, and perfectly in sync with his co-actress KIM SO HYUN, whom I adore and who also fits the genre very well. They had superb chemistry! They are so similar on a human level that you can feel it through the screen.
Lee Sang Yi completely dazzled me! Not only was I a fan of his fighting style, his clothing style, his charisma, and his natural class (yes, that's a lot!), but his character was also truly endearing and understanding. He gave me SLS* (second lead syndrome) in spades! Honestly, with this trio, I wanted to say to the girl: "But actually, choose both!" How can you choose between two angels? Once again, a great actor, he really has it all!
I won't even mention Oh Jung Se, who is extraordinary; he manages to merge once again with his character, who was Machiavellian!
Regarding the story, it's never boring! Each episode is full of twists and turns and keeps us on the edge of our seats; I was amazed every time. We experience a whole range of emotions, as our heroes often find themselves in situations that seem hopeless... then, against all odds, things end up working out.
Is the story easy? Yes and no. It's true that some situations are resolved quite quickly, almost as if by magic at times (especially certain alliances), but overall, everything remains coherent and, above all, very entertaining. We're constantly searching for the slightest clue, hoping to gather crumbs of information to better understand everyone's intentions and actions.
As you can see, Good Boy is a drama rich in entertainment, charming, thrilling, and driven by a healthy dose of kindness thanks to a team of incredibly endearing characters! I thrilled, trembled, and loved it right along with them. It's, in my opinion, a remarkable drama, one that puts a lot of other "chill" thrillers of the same genre to shame (like Police University, Rookie Cops, etc.). What's more, for the lazy or beginners, it's even available in French audio, despite its 16 episodes! Admittedly, there are a few small weaknesses: in 12 episodes, the plot (especially on the "bad guys'" side) could have been a little more condensed. But honestly, there's no slowness to report.
It's a drama that can appeal to many, because it's truly versatile. It manages to combine rom-com, action, and more serious thrillers, all supported by stunts, visuals, and a top-notch OST! And UNITY IS STRENGTH!
I definitely recommend THE GOOD BOY!
BANGER 10/10 !!!

A GOOD SHORT KDRAMA WITH GREAT CAST!
What immediately made me want to watch this drama was clearly the casting! That's what initially hooked me. Of course, Korean cuisine is known for being delicious, but ironically, I mostly saw French cuisine, which made me smile! The plot revolves around two rival restaurants and a team of chefs who are engaged in a veritable war to earn a Michelin star. At the heart of this culinary competition, a romance develops between a carefree heir, ready to do anything for excellence without truly understanding the value of raw ingredients, and a passionate chef, trained by a Japanese master, deeply committed to authentic cuisine that respects ingredients and traditions.
What I loved, beyond the incredible chemistry between Go Min Si and Kang Ha Neul, was the powerful message about the importance of sincerity, hard work, and passion—things that no amount of money can buy. Go Min Si once again demonstrates her versatility by portraying this chef with magnificent intensity: she's radiant, natural, and impressively deep. As for Kang Ha Neul, he brings a lovely lightness to the drama, and I was blown away by his linguistic talents!
It's a good food drama, no doubt about it! The short format makes it easy to follow, even if it remains fairly standard and doesn't take any real risks. There are a few minor flaws: like the return of a character who briefly left doubts about a love triangle, or the lack of development surrounding the brothers' relationship, which I would have really liked to see explored further.
On the romance side, some aspects are somewhat sidelined in favor of the cooking, but overall, it's a very enjoyable drama to watch. I had a good time, especially thanks to a solid and convincing cast. I also found the camera shots particularly well-executed; they really contribute to the atmosphere.
What I especially appreciated was the heroine's return to basics: her way of cooking reminded me how important it is, even in our daily lives, to remain attentive to the origin of our products, their production, and their seasonality.
Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the interactions between the characters, the well-balanced humor, and the emotions that emerge. I recommend this drama if you're looking for a short K-drama with a touch of romance and a strong cast! (and of course, you have to love cooking too, haha)

VERY GOOD UNIVERSITY DRAMA ! Don't listen to negative reviews
On paper, Crushology 101 seemed to be yet another romantic drama in the vein of Yumi's Cells, with a heroine surrounded by multiple suitors. However, despite its soft and pink universe, the series manages to stand out thanks to its benevolence, its light themes and especially its university setting - rather rare in the genre, which often remains centered on high school.I didn't read the original webtoon, but I hope it offers a little more depth to some characters. I regretted that some, although highlighted on the poster, finally only make brief appearances, almost like simple cameos.
On the casting side, the main actress was excellent! Even if I am not always convinced by all her roles, here she literally radiates: sunny, smiling... a real pleasure on the screen. On the other hand, I had a little more trouble with the character played by Lee Chae Min, whose sometimes too passive attitude frustrated me a little.
Overall, I fully validate Crushology 101! It's a drama without a headache, without a heavy love triangle - yes, a second suitor is present, but he never represents a real threat to the main couple. And frankly, it feels good!
Visually, it is a real bouquet of flowers: some may not have hung on to the very "sakura" and pastel aesthetics, but for my part, I found that this soft and flowery atmosphere fit perfectly with the universe of the webtoon and the spring freshness of the poster. A coherent and successful visual choice in my opinion.
OST IS SO GIRLY AND SWEET !!!
The romance is delicate, tender, and what I particularly appreciated is the absence of really toxic or malicious characters. We have a good time, even if, sometimes, we can regret a certain lack of depth or the absence of stronger secondary subjects. But at the same time... a little lightness, it doesn't hurt either!
The ending is pleasant, and each character manages to solve his or her own problems, finally expressing what he or she has on his or her heart.
In summary: a sweet and refreshing school romance not to be missed!
10/10 !

A PERFECT PRODUCTION
Maybe for some countries, the magic of HIERARCHY has not taken. But in mine we loved it and now it is also ranked 1st in 23 countries and 5th worldwide in the category of television programs. He also entered the top 10 in the United States for the first time.
SO I LAY THE FOUNDATIONS BEING A BIG FAN OF GOSSIP GIRL AND OVERALL I REALLY LIKE THE ELITE HIGH SOCIETY SCHOOL SERIES OF COURSE I WAS THE PERFECT CUSTOMER FOR "HIERARCHY"
"DESPITE THE FAT I LOVED IT. WITH A RESTED HEAD I ALSO SAW HIS DEFAULTS.
HIERARCHY IS FOR ME MORE A ROMANCE THAN A REVENGE AS THE LATTER HAS LOST ITS MEANING OVER THE EPISODES. AND CLEARLY GO YOUR WAY IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE "PSEUDO" HIGH SOCIETY OF YOUNG KOREANS CHAEBOL THAT WE HAD ALREADY SEEN IN PYRAMID GAME. FROM THE FIRST EPISODE I AM EMBARKED DIRECTLY. THE NEAT CINEMATOGRAPHY / PLANS / MUSIC AND THIS DISTURBING AMERICANIZED PAW STILL PUTS YOU IN A BRAND NEW STYLE OF KDRAMA ALMOST AWAY FROM WHAT WE HAVE BEGUN TO APPRECIATE KOREAN DRAMAS FOR THE DIFFERENT STYLE OF WESTERNS ETC.
HERE THE CHILD IS MORE THAN KING. HE SPEAKS BADLY TO ADULTS, HE HAS POWER (TOO MUCH EVEN) SEX TOBACCO ALCOHOL DRUGS ALL THIS IS PART OF THEIR VERBAL LANGUAGE THEY ARE TOTALLY DEVERGOND. WHY NOT? BUT IS THIS REALLY THE IMAGE OF YOUNG KOREANS? NOT COMPLETELY!
THE "POOR" HERO GOES TO THE "RICH" HIGH SCHOOL (YES WE ARE IN THE CLICHÉS) TO DO JUSTICE TO HIS BROTHER WHO PERISHED BECAUSE OF HIM. ON THE WAY HE MEETS THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE ONLY THIS ONE ALREADY HAS HER HEART TAKEN AND A VERY TRAUMATIC STORY TO HER MAKING HER DEVOID OF ALL EMOTIONS.
OUR HERO WILL THEREFORE HAVE TO JUGGLE BETWEEN HIS RECENT CRUSH AND THE HUNT FOR THE CULPRIT ALTHOUGH THIS WILL NOT BE THE PRIORITY OF THE CENTRAL PLOT YOU WILL HAVE UNDERSTOOD IT. BECAUSE HIERARCHY'S PROGRAM IS RATHER A LOVE TRIANGLE AND DECEITFUL PEOPLE AROUND WHO ALL HAVE THEIR LITTLE SECRETS AND WHO CLOSE THEIR EYES TO EVERYTHING IF THEY DON'T HAVE POWER, AND WHO ABUSE IT IF THEY HAVE IT TO MAKE AMERICAN PARTIES OR POUR MONEY/ALCOHOL AND LUXURY OUTFIT AFLOAT OR TO MAKE THE LAW AT SCHOOL.
THE PROS:
CINEMATOGRAPHY
OST
DECORS / UNIFORMS
CHOICE OF ACTORS (LEE CHAEMIN) AND PARENTS
THE SHORT FORMAT
VF AUDIO TO EXPAND THE KDRAMAS PUBLIC
THE FINAL MORALITY
THE SECRET OF THE LEAD WAS QUITE SURPRISING FOR A SCHOOL NOT USUAL OF KOREANS WHO ARE TABOO WITH THAT
THE INTIMATE SCENES THAT WERE DIFFICULT TO SHOOT FOR YOUNG ACTORS
APPEARANCES ARE MISLEADING
THE MAIN ROMANCE WAS STRONG BUT ABOVE ALL THANKS TO THE GUY
. THE CONS:
THE LEAD WAS WITHOUT EMOTION IT BECAME TIRING CREATING A LACK OF ALCHEMY
THE PLOT VENGEANCE IS COMPLETELY ABSORBED BY ROMANCE AND OTHER PROBLEMS
THE USA SIDE IS NICE BUT IS AWAY FROM KOREAN REALITY
INDECENCIES AND INJUSTICES ARE TOO NORMALIZED (LIKE THE TEACHER AND THE TEACHER EVERYONE KNOWS BUT?? )
THE LEAD IS EATEN BY THE SECOND LEAD SEVERAL TIMES AND WE NO LONGER KNOW HIS PLACE
THE CLICHÉS (BUT I DON'T LOVE IT)
THE MORAL END BUT AMBIGUOUS IN THE END WHO REALLY LEARNED THE LESSON?
THE FACT THAT THE TEASER DOING MORE THRILLER
GLOBALLY I LOVED THAT THE KOREANS GET OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE EVEN IF WE WERE A LITTLE IN THE EXCESS FROM PENTHOUSE, ESCAPE, ETC. THEY LET THEMSELVES GO A LITTLE TOO MUCH LIKE US LOL AND IT'S NOT A GOOD SIGN FOR THE FUTURE IF WE CHOSE KDRAMAS IT'S BECAUSE THE USA SERIES ALSO LIFTS US TO THE BASE. I STILL ENJOYED THIS CINEMATOGRAPHY AND GLOBAL PRODUCTION THAT GOES UP A NOTCH AND SELLS DREAM FOR AN ELITE SCHOOL BUT WHICH IS VERY FAR FROM KOREAN CLICHÉS AND REALITY. I TOOK THIS WORK AS IT CAME AND I APPRECIATED SOME ACTORS WHO PLAYED WITH A LOT OF BITES DESPITE THE SCENARIO MISTAKES. I ADVISE IT TO THE REGULARS OF THE USA SERIES NOT THE REGULARS OF THE WEAK HERO DRAMAS ETC. TAKE THE WORK AS IT COMES. IT'S NOT A CHAOS THERE'S WORK BEHIND YOU DON'T BELIEVE AND GO DOWN THE DRAMA IS NOT JUSTIFIED FOR ME BUT I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT IT DIDN'T AFFECT EVERYONE
