I am truly glad there is no love triangle !!

I must say i absolutely ADORE Xu Kai's vibe and role in this show, for once, we have mature leads, not screaming and trying to pick fights left and right( altough we have a SFL who does that but i dont really care about her) , about Situ Hong, when i saw him i knew he would be the one to start innocent and nice and becomes evil later on( although nothing happened yet). Anyway up until ep 15 i am really enjoying this show and i hope it just gets better!

Most of chinese historical dramas are fantasy, but there are a few politicals that i liked like Secret of the three kingdoms, the longest day in Chang'an, Dream of Chang'an ( a bit more romance than politics),The wind blows from Longxi, Blood of Youth( friendship and politics themed but not very much). If I remember more i will tell you, but make sure to read just the synopsis of those dramas to know if its what you like or not before watching.
Btw i am not able to find Rise of phoenixes, where did you watch it please, cause all websites have way too much ads?

Sadly i really thought that since it was screened we would be able to see it soon but now i dont think so, i mean why dont we have a release date yet ?

Exactly, the main reason i was watching was Shi-yeol but his ending really wasnt as satisfying as we wanted it to be, plus we didnt get any flashback about him except when he met the fiancé , when what we wanted to see was how he became watchman and a bit about his childhood etc...🥲

I just wished we got atleast a flashback of how he became watchman or about his childhood, plus i REALLY wished ANYONE told him that he is NOT a criminal and that he always only did his duty, but sadly nobody did and he left sad and 2 years later he was still sad, idk, even if he got his happy ending i feel like we lost the Shi-yeol of the early episodes.
