Its actually one of his strong suits cause he has that dark villain vibe, he was really good in Fof, which I recommend if you like ensemble cast, I do so I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am excited to see him in his upcoming roles.

I agree with most of your review, although I have to say that I disagree about one thing, I actually loved Yanan's acting in the show, even more than in Fof, mostly because we saw him more here and got to explore his character more deeply. His eyes and body language changed in each scene and with each of his characters, so I really loved watching him. As for the drama it was indeed a beautiful watch, albeit a little confusing 😅.

From what I read in the comment he is the descendant of her uncle, but like her uncle in the beginning of those 400 years she lived, and he was a mortal so he lived normally, got married, had children etc, and his children did too and so on many generations and 400 years later FengYi is the last descendant yet, and also she kept contact with all of her uncle's descendants thats why FengYi isn't afraid of her or anything. And also why he calls her Grand ancestor since she technically is .
