I really love this guy. I want nothing less but good projects we can remember and rewatch from time to time. I…
The King’s Woman, Rattan and I Will Never Let You Go have high rewatch value for me, but I do hope he’ll get better produced projects. Hopefully, now that he’s out of JayWalk, he can land better scripts.
I'm sorry, but the ending completely ruined it for me. I loved this drama so much, but I really wanted to see…
I don’t know if you’re familiar with sageuks, but if he had become King then Danoh would have been trapped in the palace. Queens, Concubines, Crown Princesses are prohibited from leaving the palace. Also, there’s a very likelihood that he already has a Crown Princess since he was coronated as Crown Prince at a very young age, so chances of her becoming Queen is also very slim, which means she can only be concubine. Having Danoh come into the palace is not consistent with her character, because she is clearly a free person and won’t live imprisoned because of love. This was one of the reasons why her uncle kept asking if she knew the consequences of being with Lee Seol. In summary, it was more logical for Yuha to take the throne, so that Lee Seol & Danoh could live their lives freely. Moreover, Yuha was the more prepared of the two for kingship.

A lot of kdrama writers need to take lessons TSRG writer. All four characters were well fleshed out, we even got character development for some support characters and all four leads were pivotal to the story. Not a masterpiece, but a well thought out story. I’ll recommend to those who want to watch non-palace sageuks.
My guess is Shi Yeol is the deposed Crown Prince and Kang San is the watch man’s son. It is the tradition of the watchmen to always protect the king’s family.
