Please watch Immortal Samsara and Promise of Chang'An if ou haven't. He was so good in both, and the stories are very compelling.

How did he prioritise his queen?
It’s very serious, it’s not supernatural, but it has a shaman trope.

I'm absolutely enthralled with Zhang Wan Yi's portrayal as the unfavored prince of Xiyan, Cang Xuan. I would easily…
You really nailed this exposition of his character!

He’s doing it for her, but his actions keep pushing her to other men. In the end he does things that are irredeemable and he loses her forever

am I the only team CX? people may say he is selfish and only using XY to get to the throne but it was said in…
CX is my favourite character, but fate would always have him choosing his ambitions and the throne over XY, so I’m team YaoJing, as I believe Jing is the best fit for her.

Title Lost You Forever Spoiler
He is bound to always put kingdom before her.... How ironic when you know the reason he wants that kingdom to…
That’s the thing with power, the more power you obtain, the more sacrifices you’d have to make. The way I see things going, it would be too late by the time he realises he has lost the very thing he wanted to have and protect. Hopefully, they’ll still be in eachother’s lives in some type of way.

Nice ! I totally agree with each characters analysis 🧐 According to the novel author and the screenwriter of…
Yes, CX is still ML in the drama because him ascending the throne is pivotal to the story. In his bid to obtain power to protect her, he loses her. I believe the title refers to their relationship. The fact that they aren’t endgame doesn’t mean he’s not male lead.

I really like the relationship dynamics between Cang Xuan and Xiaoyao - they would lay up their lives for each other, they understand each other very deeply, in ways others can't understand them. I wouldn't call their love romantic, but they certainly love each other in a way that transcends romantic feelings. Knowing the trials he has ahead and the duty a future emperor has, I certainly wouldn't want them together, because he is bound to always put kingdom before her.

I do like Tushan Jing, he has consistently shown that he would never put his ambitions before her, this is something Cang Xuan cannot do - he doesn't have that luxury. I believe she truly loves Tushan Jing and she feels safest with him. What's not to like about him. I expect some character development as the story unfolds.

Xiang Liu - he's the forbidden fruit. Sometimes, I feel sorry for him because I can sense his budding love for her, but he is very self destructive. Even after he knew of her appearance as Princess of Haoling, he still left her at sea because she refused to kiss him. Now that's the difference between him and Tushan Jing. The latter is patient, kind and is a safe haven, is not self destructive. Xiang Liu's actions shows he doesn't truly understand what love is, it also doesn't help that Xiaoyao is somewhat afraid of him - there is no fear in love.

I truly admire Xiaoyao because despite having varying degrees of feelings towards this men, she knows what is right for her. She's truly a wise woman.
