Thank goodness I didn’t go by some of the comments I saw. I just finished Part 1 and it was so worth it! Yang Zi & Cheng Yi have amazing chemistry here, and despite having seen YZ in AOL, it was her character here that made me fall in love with her as an actress.

I just stumbled upon the OST Wallace Huo & Zhao Liying sang for this drama, and I’ve had it on repeat. It’s such a beautiful song. I love when they’re harmonising with eachother.

It is surprisingly good, the second episode was even much better than the first.

This was a good first episode. The comedic timing of the actors is impeccable - credit to the writer and director as well. I love the Japanese/Joseon era setting we had in the first episode.

Episode 2 answers most of the questions you might have had from episode 1

I just kept smiling and blushing at their scenes. They were just too adorable. I can’t wait to see their story unfold in modern day.

I loved the background story of our FL in Joseon, as well as her son’s (Eon) marriage to So Jeo.

I’m excited to see how Eon & SoJeo’s relationship will develop in the modern world. They were so cute and the actor and actress are beautiful 🥰

MDL users tend to down rate dramas if the ending is sad. This is at least an 8.5 drama. 9.5 in my books if we skip most of the scenes with the 2ML.
