I have to admit, I didn’t think this show was going anywhere at first. I was expecting plotless filler in between NC scenes with no real story telling. I have done a 180. It’s an interesting plot where the racing is more than just a backdrop and to this point you can sense some big twists and turns are coming. I almost gave up and dropped it half way through ep one. I’m glad I didn’t. For me this is the best “action” themed BL since Kinn Porsche. The casting not as strong perhaps in this one , but the Charlie Character is only showing his fake siidecso I’m reserving judgement on the actor. Long way to go but to this point it deserves a hall pass out of the 7’s.

I’m playing a drinking game with myself. One shot of tequila for every package grab in Playboyy the series. That’s actually better for my liver than drinking for every line of overacting in Miiddleman’s Love.

This show is hitting me in the same way as when I first watched A Tale of a Thousand Stars. What a genuinely great viewing experience. Every episode makes me care about the characters more and more. I feel like we are in for a Bad Buddy episode 5 next week, where we will have to pick up our jaws off the floor. Though the final “eye drop scene” in 4 brought us pretty close.

Nicely said. I think I’ve met my BL watching soulmate. I used to think the over use of the BL sponge bath to treat a fever was problematic.

If Playboyy is any indication, it looks like NC scenes reaching a nearly soft core porn level is the next trend. But I’ll take gratuitous package grabbing and head bobbing over overacting any day.

Wow. I am super impressed with this one. Not only such a change from the typical bL but so well produced. Well cast. And you can tell the crew behind the scenes is A level. This was a total surprise

Middlemaningitis is spreading . At least two actors on the set of 7 Days — both succumbed to this nearly fatal overacting disease,, which started spreading selectively on the set of Middleman’s Love 3 weeks ago. This disease has unique symptomology, in that it is the audience which suffers symptoms rather than the actors themselves. Home viewers can expect nausea and vomiting, as well as possible permanent hearing loss due to excessive volume used to deliver lines of dialogue, anlong with unnecessary screaming .

Main leads and the occasional flower shop psycho side character tend to suffer the most extreme form of Middlemenningitis., which is thought to brought on by a severe talent deficiency. “We thought we stopped this pathogen with the development of the Dinosaur Love vaccine last summer” commented Dr Phen Tonyl, “we had been working on it since Check Out the Series but clearly this BL series born disease has gotten away from us and has evolved “. It’s now louder, with bizzare facial contortions and uneccessary broad gestures.

A makeup artist on the set of My Universe quipped. “Those over dramatic reaction shots could kill someone. When the script calls for drinking the sponsor beverage in the conspicuous product placement scene, we just need a smile from the actor…not an epileptic seizure “

Scientists are hopeful that a vaccine using the blood of Jimmy and Sea , Fourth and Gemini plus the brain cells of P’ Aof might finally end Middlemeningitis and Bad Writing current plaguing too many Thai BLs. Here’s to hoping

This is one of my favorites of the year. Good story, great acting. The director of Middleman’s Love should be a production assistant on the set of Last Twilight. Might learn a thing or two about producing a great show. P’Aof is cementing his reputation as the best showrunner in the BL industry

I can see the headlines. Thai Police produce soft core porn BL as part of sting operation. Viewers still watching as of episode 3 targeted for moral torpitude.

It got a little better in ep 2. IMO. Just tone down the over-acting male lead. His co star is pretty good. The story has potential. But the overacting makes viewing like rolling around on broken glass. Get a broom so our two main characters can get a room

I agree. I made that comment within the first ten minutes. Actually. I think the co lead is quite good and most in the supporting cast don’t overact. I’m hoping the director tones down his other lead then this could be a good story

Im watching ep 2. Unfortunately facial contortionist overacting school is still in session.

I’d like to have been a fly on the wall at the first “ Playboyy the Series” cast acting workshop. “Ok boys, now that you’ve been handcuffed, each team of two will have exactly 30 seconds to polish off their popsicle. Ready?

Could not have said it better. You captured my feelings perfectly. And their lips moved at least during the first kiss and it was such an honest and earned moment. It reminded me of a much toned down version of the kiss between the two leads in Second Chance. No, nowhere close to that level of intimacy, but enough to make it believable and honest. The actors in Breeze are very very good. Acting with their eyes when it’s not their turn to talk. So many BLs cast good looking kids with no acting chops at all, though Korea is generally better. I’ll point something out…see if it registers…untrained BL actors bob their forward when it’s their turn to deliver a line of dialogue. It now drives me crazy when I see it. “Twins” is actually not bad but there’s a lot of supporting cast members in that one ..all with good genetics and no acting skills. Lots of forward head tilts in that one. Breeze of Love has none of that. Cast members are well coached and have experience. It makes such a difference when my neighborhood high school play has more talent than what some of these shows cast

Bump Up was a cop out. Making fun of business gay but the commiting the same offense they were lampooning. Ever since I read an interview with the the kid from Donkiz about the pressure his management company put on him not to partake in Semantic Error , I ham hypersensitive about K-pop idols taking rolls in in BL. The right wing in my country is determined to roll back the progress made in acceptance and tolerance , so it bugs me probably more than it should when GLBTQ shows imply that the expression of same sex intimacy is shameful or at least bad for business

But Bum Up is not even close to the league of Breeze it actually wasn’t the awful one I was referring to. That honor goes to Middleman’s Love. And it’s shocking because the director has been responsible for quite a body of work in BL…some but not all are very good. Some are terrible but this may be the worst of all. I didn’t want to trash the show unprovoked. But since you asked I figure why not answer honestly. And no judgement if it’s one you like. (Though I don’t see you liking it based on your past comments which I usually agree with when I run into them)

I needed this after a trainwreck of a BL dropped at the same time on IQ. And at least these K-pop idols didn’t shy away from the kiss. It was better than fish lips kiss or the complete K-pop cop outs like we get from image conscious bands afraid to be too gay. These male leads could act too. A great story that put a smile on my face and a skip or two in the heartbeat Great binge. 10 for me

That was my same experience. It was the much needed cold shower of competent acting and a great simple story after the Trainwreck that is Middleman’s Love

I don’t want to harsh on this show without first understanding the stylistic. Intention. So clearly I’m missing something. I don’t watch anime’s and my style of BL is on the chill and ultra real side of things. Like Love Class 2., Moonlight Chicken or the Eighth Sense. Is this one capturing some over the the top style that I’m just not hip to. This show seems to want to be overacted and loud so there’s got to be a method to the madness. I mean this is a real effort to come across the way it does, so there’s got to be some hidden meaning that will make me go ah ha with a lightbulb Anyway, this end result might explain why the Why R U actors bailed on the show.
