What a disappointment. They tried so hard to make this profound and failed at even make it reasonable. The plot…
I really liked the series they starred in together before this one A bit after about one and a half episodes I have to be honest that my expectation was exactly how your review played out. So I’m OK with having dropped the series. I think you got this one down. Good actors need a great script and when it’s lacking performance suffers
series like this reminds me why jbl are so superior <3btw Irozuku is subbing this
I could not agree more. I feel my heart stuck in my throat more often with JBL’s They handle subject matter that doesn’t fit neatly into the BL formula so well. in the real BL world, relationships are messy. even the less dysfunctional ones just leave your feelings so emotionally uplifted from When it rains it pours, my personal weatherman, Tokyo in April, our youth to old fashion cupcake, love life in the line and at least it does others that don’t come to mind at the moment, pound for pound JBL’s are the best around
why do I love this so much. I mean we’ve seen this type of plot 1 million times before gotta hand it to the main leads and they even made us wait one ep longer than the ohm Nanon kiss from yesteryear.
I’m really excited to see how champ will direct Sea Keen. i will knock you got better and better each ep and has arguably one of the best endings I’ve seen in a BL. I think with these two actors the next series could be truly great i’ll leave the New bashing to others, mute love showed me, just how truly special these two can be with a great script and class a directing
sorry to be a dumbass, didn’t oat sustain a pretty serious injury that threatened his ability to walk again? if so, when did he make the comments that got him in trouble? and what about this series? I’m assuming filming was completed befor the injury. it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s made up. And by the way, if his comments about gay men being dogs are even true, I can attest that yes, we are
great reference. and that show was canceled so that might explain the7.2 rating, which makes me sad cause I happen…
The show runners from that series got a new deal so there’s something else brewing in the Netflix pipeline And I’m assuming you saw “Dark”— The series that answers the question. “ my best friend in high school’s younger brother is my dad”
and now that we’re two episodes down with a mirror series I’m still incredibly impressed, especially that this is coming from Thailand.
I read the original novel over the summer when I was in Thailand. I am friends with the author. It was an amazing…
I am so glad to hear that Gives me reassurance that there’s a cohesive novel behind this so far excellent trauma drama. I honestly can’t get over how next level this show is and how out of step with the 7.2 rating I am.. early though it may be
This show reminded me of Netflix show 1899.. Anyone else.?
great reference. and that show was canceled so that might explain the7.2 rating, which makes me sad cause I happen to think this is one hell of an effort so far
A 7.2? i’m really surprised. Sure, this story definitely comes with high risk of running off the rails, but so far I gotta give it lots of credit for being truly mysterious and unpredictable. i’d imagine this thread will be filled with theories .. mine is the story is taking place inside the head of the protagonist coming to terms with some horrific trauma that happened in his life. I think all of the actors are strong, but maybe my favorite is nurse tough love ( plus he’s cute as hell). anyway, to the people that put the show on a) you’re putting together an incredible series so far. b) don’t fuck it up. so far, an incredible first two episodes . so far, you get my award for “I can’t believe this isn’t a Japan produced series”
I’m in awe of this series. 10. Not for everyone —but that’s why the Earth-Pond storyline in Fourever You is there. For me, Japanese WTF series is the only way to BL.
Excellent first episode. if you like dead friendforever or four minutes and don’t require an engineering school setting as the minimum threshold for watching, Then give this mind Fuckery BL a chance
Right??? the acting oh my God the acting...how are they able to convey all these feelings w just their eyesidk…
when Japanese actors get a serious script that’s free of slapstick and cowbells, these guys put on an eye acting clinic. Our Youth, when It Rains, Weatherman, Eternal Summer, The Yakuza mafia drama currently airing … and a dozen others i’m just not thinking of, but that are just as good. Hell, even some of the comedy that’s not too over the top better written like the punk triangle, Same thing These dudes are so expressive . It helps to create scripts, Original non-beaten down path storylines, Tremendous directing and cinematography Besides, I can’t think of an engineering school drama from Japan about the top of my head
and now that we’re two episodes down with a mirror series I’m still incredibly impressed, especially that this is coming from Thailand.
