it's totally not unreasonable, but the way her words are when talking about NH is just keyboard warrior level…
I need her to have some level of self awareness of how she speaks. As a modern person and an actress at that, she should know how bad it is

I'm only on Ep9. By what Episode does FL stop this senseless dissing of NH like he's the one and only cause of anything bad that happens? It's getting on my nerves by now. She talks like a big ass antifan without sense.

Unpopular opinion, but I actually like the WS more in the novel, that man is harder to break and tame. Compare…
If you think about it, novel WS was more interested in warfare and uniting the Central Plains which makes him rough and tough while drama WS is more about reclaiming the Wei territories only and to serve the Wei people which makes him have a more benevolent heart.
I was more surprised with how they first wrote drama MM being more scheming than novel MM. But both Manman balances off their respective WS.

For those who can’t get enough of Liu Yu Ning another drama A Journey to Love , another great action series.
fair warning for sad ending for that drama tho (love the drama, but the ending had me crying my eyes out)
lyn said this one will have a good ending and the book did too, so i'm more at ease watching this hahaha

I once thought that the actor who played Wei Yan was miscasted. now I can't imagine anyone else playing his character.…
Wei Yan seemed so frivolous at first but his character grew on me and his teasing glances make me smile. I also like how they wrote his inner conflicts and made him more full bodied.

Title The Prisoner of Beauty Spoiler
Funny how they included Gao Heng and the cliff inscription bit from the novel. The actor is quite old tho but his biceps are amazing hahaha The whole arc is lolsies

The Deer Hunt was also transformed from horseback archery to arena fighting and both novel and drama were written well. Qiao Ci wielding that spear choreography was great to watch.

Actually Mary Sue type characters have been done to death and so passe today. Besides, it's a comedy and having…
I agree. She never acted to charm Prince Hengyang. Being nice to a man doesn't mean leading on. Sure, she needed him to do something for her and that was her goal which she quickly requested at the end of the banquet. It shouldn't be a female's fault if a man falls in love with her. He was suddenly going "she understands me so well" and others judge her for leading the guy on.

The FL is thoroughly selfish and manipulative. Dropped. Hopefully drama writers realize you can have an ambitious…
She was even more so in the novel! I didn't like her very much in the novel but I also didn't hate her. She had to be that way in order to survive. She slowly grew on me.
In the drama, it's shown very early on that she's a softie inside. She's not as manipulative as she appears.

Already on Ep9. I feel like they made a poor editing decision with only one nightmare scene (it was even too quick). It makes the FL's motivation more about being a Qiao than a Wei (still the family feud) than in the novel where the motivation was protecting Qiao family from being killed by Wei Shao and not to outmaneuver the Wei. Drama Xiao Qiao seems more scheming than Novel Xiao Qiao. Or maybe I was just surprised at what happened in Boya. Novel Bi Zhi was more an independent operator than what happened in the drama.

I also miss the Novel Xiao Qiao's relationship building with Old Lady Wu which is lacking in the drama.

Yeah that is what it means and he also had to go through the rites the woman normally goes through when marrying…
I was so used to seeing the brides being in the sedan that I never understood it as "marrying into a family" that I had to read it in another novel to get it hahaha well considering ancient China was patriarchal, it's also not common for the husbands to marry in.

It's an official directly under the emperor who goes around the country to gather "treasures" for the emperor.…
His exact position's details weren't very important at the start of the drama. He was only publicly at Louyang to accompany the county princess at King Ning's request trying to pair them up (lols both parties weren't interested tho. King Ning is bad at matchmaking haha). It was enough to let people know that he holds a high rank with close ties to the emperor that people automatically want to get close to him.
Tbf, the flower and bird envoy isn't a well known official position even with chinese audience.

It's an official directly under the emperor who goes around the country to gather "treasures" for the emperor.…
Actually, the important details were included in the dialogue. As long as you don't fast forward or skip, you'll notice it.
- he's under the emperor
- he looks for entertainment for the emperor
- he was called a clown at the imperial court

Other details about this position especially the historical basis of iit comes from articles written about the drama that were fan translated

what is a floral envoy cause this man seems to have too much power I'm out here thinking he's like a gardener
It's an official directly under the emperor who goes around the country to gather "treasures" for the emperor. Historically, they would get beautiful women for the emperor's inner court where they would even take married women as long as they are unparalleled beauties. In the drama, because the envoy works under the emperor, officials try to curry favor hoping that the envoy would put in a good word for them straight to the emperor's ears.

While reading another novel, I learned Liu Chang being in a sedan chair carried to the county princess' house for their wedding meant he was marrying into the Ning household. What a slap in the face to see Mudan and JCY riding together smiling for their own wedding!

Don't they have to wait for one year between seasons? So, Spring 26?
You are looking at drama revenue and taxation very simplistically. If you had more understanding, you'd know the reasons behind these decisions. (I have professional knowledge)
