Regardless, what your saying now isn't what you initially claimed. You said Top Form was rated high for the NC scenes and suggested Lost in the Woods was rated lower because of the lack of NC scenes- insinuating that ratings are disproportionately influenced by NC scenes rather than "multiple factors". I can agree that NC scenes can drive hype, but I dont agree that NC scenes are the main driving force behind ratings.

I'm never said people don't care about intimate scenes- the opposite actually (I literally said that that is part of the reason people like Top Form- emphasize on PART). What I'm saying is its ignorant to say that that is the ONLY reason shows are highly rated. While the shows I mention might have some kisses, the point I was making was they also have "depth" and "meaning" and are genuinely good shows for reasons unrelated to the NC or kiss scenes.

I never said Top Form was the greatest piece of writing but neither is Lost in The woods. Personally, I really liked this show and im not going to defend those who drop it. But people can drop shows for a variety of reasons- personally I enjoyed this show but learning that the age gap was 15 years was a bit of a yikes moment for me. I also think. Also, while the ending made sense and was probably the best way to end it- people like happier endings.

You said it was only highly rated because of the NC scenes- that's demeaning to the fans who enjoy it for a variety of reasons. The fans are the ones who rate the show, so by says it's only rated highly for the NC scenes you are insulting those fans- not just the series. As you are entitled to your opinion, as am I. You too "don't get to police what I say" .

The most highly rated bl/gl series are some of the ones with the most depth and "meaning"- A Tale of Thousand Stars, Not Me, Love for Loves Sake, I feel you linger in the air, I hear the sunspot, moonlight chicken, I told sunset about you, etc.

Top Form has a high rating because people love the chemistry, acting performances, plot, character dynamics, character development, and also the nc scenes serve a purpose. You may not be a fan but don't be demeaning to those who are.

People always say this but some people the most highly rated series have little to no NC scenes- A Tale of Thousand Stars, Not Me, Last Twilight, Love for Loves Sake, Semantic Error, etc.
Plus, some of the worst rated shows are super smutty- Unforgotten Night, Playyboy, Battle of the Writers, Two Worlds etc.

There's plenty of BLs and Japanese BLs that aren't rated high, so your assumption is unfounded.

Honestly, I really liked how they did Teeraks parents and handled that situation. A lot of people were telling Teerak that they thought things would be fine and kind of made it seem like he was worrying for nothing, but his parents did react badly. It's a realistic fear. Even though things eventually worked out, he struggled a lot and his parents were still disappointed.
So many times in BL they have the parents either be super accepting or super homophobic, but in reality, people can have really complicated feelings on the matter.
I also love how Teerak stood up to his dad and didn't back down or even consider breaking up with Fah for a second- this really fit with his character development. He was still respectful and obedient to his dad, but also used that confidence and surety that he gained over the course of the series.

This show is silly and fun- but what really makes it is Earthmix's chemistry- they really can make you enjoy any character they play. The acting is always great from them too. So far, I'm enjoying this- it's chaotic, but fun.

No one has mentioned their kissing in this conversation. Ith8nk they're are good actors and have great chemistry and I believed that well before they kissed. I've been watching bl since 2007 and thai bl since 2014 so I too have been "following and evaluating bl for years".
Yes, some people only care about kissing scenes, but I dont. You shouldn't just assume anyone who disagrees with you only cares about sex- it's ignorant and hateful.
