So I did a deep, deep dive on Twitter using translation and from what I read it seems like blood is in the water…
Haven't been to Twitter ever since Musk took over. But can confirm over at Weibo people have screencaps up on what Korean netizens are saying. Some of his old fans have dropped him, calling him mean, vindictive, and cruel to SHK. He filed for divorce when she was abroad, then he let her get attacked by everyone online, relishing in his fans' continued blind sympathies for years and years when he actually already had a new chick mere 3 months after the end of their marriage.
ahhh i don't object to yet another "big sister-younger brother" romance (jie di lian). they're always interesting to watch, more so than the much older man and much younger woman dynamic. i'm still trying to complete all the episodes for "a rational life", even though i like it a lot ---- LOL i'll take a while for me to start "crash course in romance".
Does anyone know if this is the first time a marriage or serious relationship happened between a well-known Asian…
emil chau is a famous singer and actor in the 80s-90s, he and his wife constance woods have been married for over 30 years and share 2 kids. there's also famous veteran hong kong actor richard ng, married for 50 years with a british hairstylist, they have 4 kids. hayakawa sessue, a long dead famous japanese actor, married a white woman actress 100 years ago (1914). they had a kid but the marriage ended in divorce.
My Joongki phase has long ended. I will never forget how he stayed silent when SHK was being slut shamed in Korea…
i really, really don't like talking about celebs' personal lives, but it's hard to avoid reading what was reported when they're in my face and naturally some form of opinions will always take shape because of these articles. revisiting his past official statements, first when he was going all out in courting her, he said they share many similarities. then when he was divorcing her, he said their personalities don't match lmao. in the same statement, he mentioned how he was in pain and how he wanted them to stop blaming each other. he was playing the victim in an official statement where everyone reads it - trying to elicit sympathy - all the while she stayed quiet and just let him divorce her without attacking him in return AT ALL. also, all of his dramas post-divorce sucked
//the debt that kim ji young occurred// you mean the debt she *INCURRED*

//so that she can move from his abusive parents' home.// it's *HER* abusive parents' home.
goodness, does no one proof-read these days?
17 years old and running away after owing money. she didn't deny owing money, either. is she out of control? guess no one is guarding or protecting this child, not her parents, and not even her manager. lol at the large pic used in this article. it looks like a mug shot.
man i love this drama. this was a pleasant watch and the workplace bullying feels so real. i'm reminded of my own traumatic workplace experiences. i wish i were as strong as ruo xin is, she's so amazing T-T she brought me to tears. qin lan is a great choice for this role, she's so poised all the time and her voice is so soothing, so professional. she always looks so put-together. i love her T^T dylan looks fresh-faced in here. i prefer seeing him as a normal guy on screen. all his other roles in fantasy and historical dramas had him in too much make-up and intense eyeshadows. i know it's necessary. compared to those roles, he didn't have much room in this drama to flaunt his acting skills. this is still a great watch. the story is well-written.
How can an eunuch have so much power? It doesn't make any sense.Edit: I'm also referring to the disrespect Xiao…
it depends on the character of the emperor or the empress. powerful eunuchs have overridden some of history's meekest and weakest emperors. these eunuchs placed puppet emperors on the throne, so naturally these puppet emperors feared the very eunuchs who let them park their cushy asses on the dragon seat. these eunuchs wielded tremendous political powers in court and in the palace. this drama is fiction, so like most fiction, a certain amount of exaggeration is expected. however, there is a historical basis for this semi-depiction of xiao duo through many dynasties. all of these eunuchs usually met their downfall when a stronger, new emperor came into reign. you can read about wei zhong xian, zhao gao, zhang rang, where the emperor even called him "father".
//Even after the series ended, the K-drama is still popular and has already accumulated over 700 million views. // you mean "the webtoon" is still popular and has already accumulated over 700 views.
also, forbidden marriage is hella boring. maybe they can cast someone who has better chemistry with him in this upcoming drama.
I just started Unchanged Love and yes his acting is very good compare to almost every single young actor in Blood…
Some people are born to be actors, I guess. He's lucky, and talented. If he possesses the right attitude, he will go very far. I had to drop Unchained Love even though his acting was good. The chemistry between him and the female lead was too flat for me. And there were too many unlikable characters, like the maidservant and the emperor. I tried, but couldn't go on. I'm now watching the Rational Life.
