I feel like I have read this one but under a different name on some scantalation site. And it most definitely is a BL. I feel like this drama will be a clean/ censored version, like Untamed or WoH.

I am trying to see if I can find the webtoon, but there is another coming of age webtoon with the same name and the mangaka having an extremely similar name, so it's a slow going.

Popular doesnt mean good. Most these are popular among the younger or newer bl fans. I have been into gay romcoms scene since the early 2000s, so for me, they bring nothing new to the table. Also, I HATE stories where couples cant communicate like adults and create unnecessary misunderstandings.

As long as u dont mind the dead fish lipsmacking and frankly hilarious sex scenes, it's a good watch. For a show centered around bdsm, the sexual chemistry is pretty nonexistent. I quite like the uke, Kim, as a reluctant mob-wife but I'm not sold on Yoon (Kamol) as the badass mafia boss. He is good enough for your typical uni bl seme, but he really sucks at any other facial expressions. They could have cast a better actor as Kamol.

As usual, my fav are the bodyguard side characters and 4 eps in Kamol is a much much better boss than Kinn would even wish to be.

Also, Kamol IS a stalker... But it's more along the line of following Kim around and saying "Date me... Move in with me" type of persistent annoyance than anything dangerous.

And all sex scenes are completely consensual though the scene in the latest ep was slightly dub-cony, but not enough to raise a flag. Kim comes off as a tsundere more than someone with a Stockholm syndrome.

Thanks for this... This is one of the most honest reviews I have seen of this show so far. I actually commend you for finishing the whole series. I folded in ep. 3. All those points you raised, I had same issues.

I was told by show watchers and even novel readers that it would improve a lot, but then Kinn r-ped Porsche and well, nope. I can forgive a lot of things but r-pe without consequences and falling in love with your r-pist isnt one of them. As someone who is been into BL since early-2000s, r-pe to love stories have no place in 2022.

On a different note, have you checked out Unforgetten Night yet? It's also a mafia-civilian love story with actually consensual BDSM (like whaaaaa--), I think u might enjoy it more.
