Actually this drama has the potential although not as grand as dream high in terms of ost, idol actor, and settings…
They explained it in today's ep. FL has a dry/harsh personality and her husband calls her "emotionless desert". ML's idol-persona is "as comforting and healing as the sea". FL's son realises that together they are "Namib, where desert meets the ocean" (it's an actual place in Namibia). And FL's husband absolutely loved it because "Namib, the dynamic duo, will do great things together".
Personally, it might be a good name for fandom when Yoo Jinwoo debuts.
An update since this is a big deal in Japanese media and on social media right now: the publisher of the original…
That's not how it works. She will be known as the author (author right) but she has no other say in it. I am not familiar with this specific situation or case, but that's generally how it is.
For eg, say you draw a painting. It took you 5 months to make, you sacrificed countless hours of fun and sleep over it. It's a painting that's extremely close to your heart. People say that painting is a masterpiece and one of a kind. Someone buys that painting for 5 million dollars. It's the best day of your life. Then you learn that that person who bought the painting, tore it up and wiped his butt with it. But no matter how gross and disturbing and rage-inducing it is, there's nothing you can do legally since that painting doesn't belong to you anymore. Once you sold it, it was gone. Now whether the buyer displays it like a treasure, or wipes his ass, you have no say in it.
Something similar happens with IP rights. You write a book. Someone wants to adapt it and they want the rights to it. There are degrees to how much freedom they can get. Either you sign away ALL the rights. Or you retain most of them. For eg, in Mame (Thai author) generally has a final say in most of her adaptations. JKRowling had a control of the cast and final say in the movie script. It all depends on the laws of your country and individual contracts. If you have a good agent/lawyer, you can retain most of the rights. If not, tough luck.
read my comment again carefully. It's in english. If u still dont get it, I'll explain in simpler words (or google translate to your preferred language).
I think this new season will cover till "rooftop" fight, because it's directly related to S1 and his rooftop trauma, and it is Grey's biggest fight until the final battle. Idk if they will cover the rest of the webtoon, or just skip directly to Grey/Donald final battle afterwards, but that depends on the new script/budget.
Idk this one, but if u don't mind similar recs: Try "Rebirth of a Movie Star" on Novelupdates and the webtoon "Again". Both have similar storylines with happy endings.
Show is now trying really hard the make FL look like a good person... too hard for my taste .... she is still…
You can have two sides of the same person. Just because someone has a trash personality, doesn't mean they can't be good at their job and vice versa. FL is good at debuting idols, she can't even manage them right, otherwise RAID wouldn't have hated her enough to ruin her. She is a pretty crappy human apart from that.
I am absolutely on board with the villian destroying her. But I am more rooting for her husband to get back into the groove and debut/launch YJW tbh. Like, I am rooting for literally everyone APART from FL.
exactly. How did this drop to 7.8? When there are shit load of mediocre romcoms enjoying 8.5s
Honestly I have stopped looking at MDL ratings. Yesterday some user was giving 1* reviews to lots of new c-dramas. I didn't really think anything of it, until I saw them give Guardians of Dafeng 5* and realised all the other 1* shows are current competitors :-/
who are you talking about? KSY's husband or the investor? with idol turned coffee shop lady?
no romance. she has a husband who is also very much involved with the producing as well. They are a team. ML is basically like their employee/foster kid.

some people were hate-voting because the FL looked ugly or sick or whatever, idk. The actress was sick (she put out a statement about it), but the character is fine. Some just assumed there would be romance between ML (Ryoeun) and FL (GHJ) and downvoted the drama, and others did because they were disappointed that there's no may-december romance between them. Basically most of the down-votes are not about the plot at all but other random things.
