I liked Deng Kai in Butterflied lovers so i was wondering if this drama worth watching ? From the comments it…
Man.... if you still havent yet, go for it. I was kinda expecting a serious drama given the summary, but my god! Weijie is such an idiot and Feng Guanyu is literally a walking Green Flag.
More like back to the future. Or I dont wanna be friends with you (C-drama)
The summary is perfect Hannah Montana goes Back to the Future (Disney really missed a mark with that one). Double life Student/Idol goes back into the past and meets her dad and helps him get with with his crush (only to realise that she is in fact her mom). The crush has a different name (either mom uses a nickname or the crush does) so it is a plot twist until the end.
They are not related at all. They are based on two different books by two different authors, and happen to be adapted by the same production house and feature the same cast (probably due to budget). The same team as Like Love (the seme from that show has a small cameo role here), so they grouped together.
P.S. there is another set of bl novels which have similar names and themes (not same, similar) which ARE linked but they are not adapted yet.
I have no problem with this and all the people that are whining are just hypocrites. What about all the shows…
Which kdramas are blackwashing white characters? Are u upset about the little mermaid or Cleopatra? Go bother Netflix or Disney or something. Also, which character was changed from straight to gay or trans? Dumbledore? Cos his sexuality never really came up in the og books but he was always gay...and lover of Grindelwald to boot.
It's literally adapted from a bl novel. If they want to pander to homophobes or people who dont.like bl in general, then dont adapt a genre which is already niche. Not like there arent straight novels with a similar plot.
I somewhat agree. Imagine writing a bl novel and a company pays u big cash but makes it straight its pretty hard…
Once u sell the rights, it's gone and they can do whatever they want legally. Which is why Thai BLs always have the original writer on set to ensure the adaptation is correct, but I think for Korean/Chinese novels, once u sell the rights, that's it. The whole thing now belongs to the production company to do whatever they wish.
P.S. there is another set of bl novels which have similar names and themes (not same, similar) which ARE linked but they are not adapted yet.
It will probably be released later globally
