My fav bit so far has to be them painting that chicken lmao. That whole scene was a skit of "how would they know" meme and it was amazing. Him already walking around with that paint box and Brick just doing what he tells without question. I also like that Hu Zi flirts with Xintong (and Xintong sorta flirts back) but she doesn't get all weird and jealous when Hu Zi looks at other girls, and Hu Zi isnt really apologetic or weird about it.

He channels that perfect extrovert/class clown lead aka Stiles (from Teen Wolf, if u know u know) energy.

The love martyr is isnt a new thing. Bazillion stories out there where the woman is constantly abused by her husband/partner/lover but always forgives him because ~true love~ this is a bl with same plot.

Making one of them a female, wont make a difference because then it will be literally any other het c-drama. The only difference here is the MC died before they could work things out.

Hell, if they make a straight drama where the abused wife leaves her abusive husband of 10 years and stays away even after he comes begging, it will more revolutionary than them adaptating this faithfully.

No, this will pass because the gays have a bad end. One gay, MC, got abused by his lover for whom he left his career and family (who were opposed to the relationship) and then got cancer and died. Other one, ML, abused and neglected his lover, cheated on him, then went crazy after his lover died. The gay cheating partner also had a bad end after being exploited by the ML. The only good guy, the doctor, watched his unrequited love (the MC) get abuser by his lover and then waste away to death before his eyes.

Depends actually. If the source is bl/same-sex work then, it is sent to limbo. Or if the author/work is too well-known. If it is a shounen ai/bromance novel or the author/work is unknown, it is rebranded as a friendship drama. Sometimes, they will also introduce a new/original female character to romance the lead then kill her at the end, so friends stay together.

Priest and MXTX are pretty famous in the circle, so maybe it will take a while idk

The novel is by the same author as Untamed (Novel: Mo Dao Zu Shi or Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation). If u haven't seen that one, it is also on Netflix (another bl turned to bromance adaptation, but this was because the restrictions were enforced)

It's an adaptation of a BL (gay romance) novel, so it will probably be out when Chinese censorship allows gay content to air. I wouldn't hold my breath.

But if u are not familiar with the story u can check out the novel, or the webtoon, or watch the anime on Netflix. All of them have the same title "Heaven Official's Blessing".

U never know. Lots of BROMANCE adaptations are passing under the radar and the authorities know where the money is. Money makes everyone a hypocrite as long as there is no noise.

Watching ep 9 and it is hilarious how they all just go along with Hu Zi's insanity. Esp, Brick. Xintong judges them for being idiots but she doesn't actually tell them to stop. And Xiaoxuan, as the leader, could try to talk them out of it but he also just goes along with them and later gets blamed.

I was literally just checking out his filmography and he has a lot of good dramas in the pipeline, including ML in Link Click adaptation with Bi Wenjun. The anime is really good, so I hope they do justice to it.

So far he has played support/extra in quite a lot of dramas. Tiger and Crane is his first main lead.

You should check out S.C.I. (mystery thriller) where he plays the main lead's cousin/detective (he has a bigger role in S2). That's where I know him from. I have seen him in lot of other dramas, but they are usually small blink and miss roles.

The drama updates 2 ep. per day, 4 days a week, so 8 episodes per week. The next 2 eps will update on Tuesday.

Jiang Long is the reason I started watching. The guy is too underrated IMHO (because he isnt conventionally beauty standard). The storyline is pretty good and I love the chemistry between F4 (also glad that there is no romance between with).
