a few minutes into this, I was like, "ooh this has a natural feel to it ig cuz it was made in 2009 and it was not "aestheticized" like how most kdramas are nowadays with their glitz and glam sets and costumes which seem unrealistic sometimes" and then I looked at the terrible acting 😭😭

and I am not being toxic (toxic is such an overused word in the k-pop/kdrama fandom sheesh). this kdrama is just badly written, with over saturated tropes and very unlikable characters who (probably) show no redeemable qualities. there's misogyny, manipulation and whatnot. so yes, this drama is bad. I'm pretty sure that you would like shit like the after movies, fifty shades of grey and twilight if you like this.

yes, the story is a continuation. but it's not too necessary to watch the first part before this as they summarise it in the first episode but if you want to kind of like, experience the whole story flow, watch the first part as well!

and wtf was this?? the things i got from this are: elitism, a shitton of toxicity and that same old, ML is a bad boy cuz of mommy-daddy issues. and am i supposed to feel bad for sooji with her art teacher like wtf, she was 15 or 16 ig and he was probably in his mid-20s and he said that he liked her back??? thats pedophilia and sooji was just dumb but NO she still is holding a grudge by taking revenge on him. and good lord, do they abuse their power. i didnt get who joy's character is supposed to be like (?) there's this weird thing where the mom of joy's best friend was about to hook up with the ML like wtf and there was this another super-weird thing where like (judging from the ep 2 previews we get at the end of the episode) that sooji and ML's parents are gonna marry each other and sooji and ML like each other ew ew ew that's borderline incest even if the ML's father isnt his real father.
