Still replaying Changyu's battle scenes.. I want to kiss the choreographer for orchestrating that fight scene. I was actually a bit worried after yesterday's episode about Changy's general arc and how it willl come to be or if it would be believable.. The scenes were beyond what I expected. The way she enterd the battle by saying her motto "A good pig in this life and be a good person in next" no words. The way she still relied on her beloved butcher knife and martial arts that her father taught without using any flashy weapons she did not know how to use was so realistic. I am still in disbelief. I cant believe we had such a believable protrayal of a foot soldiers' role in a drama. Often, the focus is always on the main character (general), but never on them. And how real that she had the skills but that alone is not always enough to take down a big, battle-hardened general. That was not quick, she had to struggle to get that victory. I am so so happy, we got this scene. I can write multiple think pieces on it, I am not even kidding...
I declare today's episode as the best episode of POJ. I am afraid even future episodes cant beat this.

Blame screenwriters - in the novel she wasn't acting in such reckless way and what she has done was quick reaction…
This is so much better. Now i blame writers for doing this. There was absolutely no need for them to write it in this way. This exact scene could have happened even with XZ hiding his identity. She could jave gone to Xie wu or somebody else for help and do the raid. I am so mad rn😮💨
As reckless as Changyu was in today's episode, i dont find her a actions completely wrong.. Xie Zheng and Gongsun Yin were literally right there. They could have stopped her at any moment of time, but they let the sequence of events to unfold.. In Gongsun Yin's words, pig butcher squad's actions caught the enemy off-guard. Moreover, they were able to negotiate food and salt in exchange. I count that as a win. At the same time, i think today's events are a learning lesson for Changyu in her path to become a general XZ did his duty as a marquis by punishing them and his duty as a husband to protect Changyu. Also agreeing with @Shuyi's comment that Changyu is born to lead. No commoner would have had guts to threaten the prince and negotiate with the enemy!! This could not have gone any better...
Is it only me who finds Xie Wu's(XZ's general) voice attractive. Because, if thats the actor's real voice, he should quit acting and become a dubbing artist
I teared up with Gongsun Yin when fan sisters reunited. Literally teplayed it so many times. Ningning is so strong, she only cried fully when she hugged her sister🥹
Changyu saying she'll provide for him even if he is crippled.. where do i get a Changyu!?!?
This is godly levels of devotion from a female character I've ever seen. The only other character with this level of devotion notable for me is Zhu Yun..no body else comes close
