I cannot blame HuaiAn for falling in love with Changyu. I am what a woman she is. Isn't she.
Can't blame him at all... Even I am head over heels for her! I am amazed by her strength but at the same time want to put her cute frame in my pocket lol
After watching today's episodes, I am really horrified by Qianqian's circumstances. I cant imagine what the women in those times had gone through in the hands of abusive powerful men. Divorce was not legal and freedom non-existent. I cant wait when the Sui brothers finally get what they deserve!
I was beginning to wonder if it was the same cliff. LOL It looked odd how Chang Yu was hanging off the vines.
They are definitely different, it looked like yan zheng and the sui guy both fell into river whereas where changyu fell had hills/rocks nearby. Atleast they didnt also make her fall into the river lol
As sad as these few episodes were, I am looking forward to Changyu's journey of becoming a general. I think she's one of the most interesting characters in cdramas. Her strength, motivations, personality is shown trather than told. And I love that, the circumstances that led her to become general were justified. She's figuratively a wounded animal who got everything snatched away from her-- her parents, her home and now her sister. As a viewer, it makes you want to root for the character and invest into the drama emotionally. So far, every trope is done so well in this drama.
I think this is the only drama where ML, FL and villain all fell off a cliff in three different instances and still survived 😂 Have to give it to them though, they kept Xie Zhang's injuries realistic.
I dont know why the rating is this low. This is one of the best modern dramas I had ever watched. So far, the story is good, the leads chemistry is amazing, really felt butterflies in my stomach watching a drama after so long. The male lead is delivering with his good looks and he also did an amazing job making us believe that he is an amazing racer. The fight scenes are so detailed and well choreographed. Mike Angelo's character is everything. Esther yu blew me away again in this drama. Her acting is on point with what you expect for this role with that perfect amount of cuteness and innocence. I really really loved that the drama is set in a whole different country and the visuals are a breath of fresh air. Love the thai culture representation in the drama. It was nice to see the beautiful landscapes and I never got bored in any scene. Every character has something to bring to the table.
Really hope the drama maintains the same flow in future episodes. This could become one of my top dramas of 2025 if everything goes well.
Just finished watching TPOB. I have half a day of my weekend left and I want to start watching this. Can you guys list out some good things about this drama to motivate me to watch this.
The way I cheered when the princess called out how SYR killed her when it mattered where as Xiao Heng was ready to give up a whole army for A'Li. The audacity he has to think she would willingly marry him after leaving her and her family for the dead. Also, him insiniuating that she's with Duke Su because of his social standing...I wanted to slap him.
The end of ep 34 was hilarious - the princess never understood that love bought or forced isn't actually love.…
Very well put. Like almost grey character has their own back story.. It makes the viewers question their motives and puts them on crossroads with empathy.
