Can someone please spoil if Changyu becomes literate and educated in later parts of the story? Just as she says in previous episodes, I really wish Yan Zheng had taught her some basics atleast. My girl deserves the best!

I have the same grievances. How could a Marquis leave his beloved without any protection, especially when she was alreday attacked and he had to save her.

But from story perspective, I think the writer wrote it this way so Changyu could get her own arc, character developement & sequence of events which lead for her to become a general.
If it had been any other story, I think a character similar to Xie Zheng would have definitely had some people looking over her..
Said that, I choose to ignore this out of character behaviour for my own piece of mind..my ideal Xie Zheng would never leave his wife without protection 😪

I just watched ep 25 preview, poor changyu begging for her husband while he is doing oscar level acting instead of just admitting that he is Wu'An Hou smh... He deserves all the beatings from her..

I literally teared up when ChanhNing comforted Bao'er. Poor Boa'er he does not deserve this..

I still remember when they first released the poster for LOFG. It was around the time the double was ending. Everyone were so pumped and excited. I think the drama itself had lots of high
expectations. But I love LOFG despite its shortcomings..

You might be onto something here because LLG is my most rewatched historical drama. The characters are all very well fleshed out and the drama itself was very good.. now I wanna rewatch LLG again..

I totally get what you mean. I followed LOFG from the start and that drama is very close to my heart and I LOVED Zhou Ye in it. The leads were perfect, their was chemistry olff the charts. I just wanted more from He Yan's character.
But, they unnecessarily sold the drama internationally with the name LOFG. In China it was called Jin Yue Ru Ge which translates to "The Brocade Moon is Like a Song" which is a very sweet name and apt for scenes in the drama. The title LOFG has obviously raised expectations of viewers and when it did not deliver much on the female general perspective, everyone were rightfully disappointed... I think branding & title matter a lot!
