Me typing this while watching the last episode. I'm just going to assume he lived even though that seat is empty. Every time they went on a mission, my BP rose enough. They can't stress me with the ending too.
But honestly, the rating should be a bit higher. At least an 8. It's a good show.

I see a few comments saying they started it but couldn't finish. Same here. I've tried watching it twice and I couldn't get past the first episode so I dropped it. BUT this time when I started it, I kinda regretted not finishing it earlier. Imo, I think the time was just right. I don't know if it's just me but there are dramas that don't grab my attention at first. So I leave them alone until I'm in the mood to watch them.
Ding Yuxi's character reminded me of Luo Yunxi in Love is Sweet. They were both so dramatic and had me laughing throughout the drama.
Zhou Chuan and Jiang Yu Cheng's friendship was top tier. I love how nothing was ever serious between them. Even when JYC when 'liked' Chu Li, there wasn't any animosity between the three. Although I'm not sure if JYC was serious or just messing around with those two.
But I enjoyed this. Would definitely welcome the 3rd collabo for Ding and Esther. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was a 9 for me.

Just finished it. I think everything was perfect. From the kids to adults, everyone portrayed their role well.
I just hope WQ will pick up more roles. When I started watching cdramas, she was like everywhere and quickly became one of my faves. Hopefully, she'll act more in the future.

I watched this because I missed Wu Lei on my screen but I'm surprised by how good it was. Didn't go in expecting much but I got a whole load of sweaty men in shorts and tank tops. I might be interested in tennis in real life.
Seriously though, this role was made for WL. Young, cute but also manly and mature. When he saw her removing coriander from her noodles and did it for her next time compared to Jiang Jie who couldn't even notice the divorce papers right in his face. Only goes to show age doesn't determine maturity. I was pissed when he didn't even pause to run his eyes over the papers. Glad Chen Ke didn't give him another chance. 8/10 for me. Hopefully WL will come back soon with another drama.

They took the most basic plot and gave us the cutest, fluffiest and perfect drama. I so love how 90% of the time, Rang Rang was just letting Zaizai do whatever she wanted. Even when he knew she was acting, he'd just indulge her. They're the perfect definition of grump × sunshine. I'm not kidding when I say I was all smiles while watching this. Kinda reminds me of Love me, Love my voice and Road home. I only have like 3 comfort dramas. Those two plus Crush so this is now number 4. I wish they'd make more dramas like this.
Zaizai was too cute. Zhang Miaoyi did great. Hopefully they'll pair them up again but in a costume drama. I'm thinking a red flag, grumpy prince/general or even emperor and a loud, color blind chatterbox that will misinterpret his actions every step of the way. Like when he sends assassins to kill her but she thinks they're after him so she sets out to save him in the most ridiculous way... Ugh, I'm overthinking.
But this is a 10/10. Definitely something I can rewatch over and over again.

After they graduated from high school, everything went to shit. I dropped it at episode 31 after Lin You's ex came back coz wtf? Nothing would have happened if he remained a cheating bastard. But no. The writer just had to bring him and focus more on the 2nd couple's drama instead of bringing the leads together. Out of 36 episodes, the FL spent over 20 of them chasing and pining after the 2nd lead. The first 5-8 they were in highschool so the romance hadn't started. Which leaves like 4-5 episodes for her to fall in love with the lead and eventually get their happy ending. Mind you, still in episode 31 and she thinks ML should just be her friend because she can't see herself being his lover. Like TF? At this point it just feels like they're being forced to be together. Mostly the FL since the ML has been crushing on her for a while.
Anyway, I'm done. Thought I could hold on but that Yuan Ancheng coming back and wanting to get back with Lin You was my last straw. I'm off to start WIFTY. Hopefully I won't be disappointed ☹️

I have one problem with transmigration dramas. Who told them meeting and smiling at each other is considered the end? TF? How about they explain his presence in that timeline? At one point, I thought Zhou Cheng was the kid who helped her pick up her books after she was bullied. And the guy holding her hand at the park but she shrugged him off? I honestly thought it was him and that she'd just forgotten him. I don't care if it wasn't him. My problem is how about closure? She didn't magically appear in the past. There was a Xia Xiaolan there. So how could she just disappear? What about everyone who knew her? Or did that timeline collapse after she left? It would have been more believable if the previous Xiaolan woke up or even went into a coma. How can she just disappear?
And if it was truly a dream, how did the present Zhou Cheng know her? Since when? Did he also have a dream? I swear transmigration dramas piss me off because of their one second reunion at the end. Why even bother? All that just so she could find a clause in the contract and clear her name? Ugh
Anyway, other than that, I enjoyed this. Xiaolan's outfits slayed. Not sure about the wedding but to each his own.
The Uncle was my favorite. Not once did he look down on Xiaolan and her mother after they went to live with them. He was supportive to the very end and the only family they ever needed. Even his wife didn't complain.
Not Liu Fen and Tang Hong'en getting a second chance because their marriage didn't work out in Our Generation 😂
I'd totally recommend this regardless of the ending. 8.5

Boy. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good watch. It's just that they give the 2nd lead too much attention. Every time they even mentioned him, I wanted to pull my hair out.

I thought the rating would be higher because this was a good watch. Contrary to popular opinion, I do like how Yingtao was like "I'll chase you to the end of the world you mf because I refuse to love someone else" 😂😂 And let's be honest, if it was the other way around, y'all would be calling Qiaoxi a green flag for not giving up on her. So shed that double standard skin.
An earlier scene that stayed with me was when that Uncle Wang was leaving a house (I don't know the owners) and you could see he was really having a hard time. Yingtao was sitting on the stairs feeling sad. She was a child so I don't know if she knew how Uncle Wang felt and wanted to cheer him up or maybe she did it because it was their like their routine. But I thought she kinda saved him the way she did Qiaoxi. He looked like he wanted to give up but she gave him the strength to keep moving forward. I so loved their reunion and how he said she was his friend/buddy. Not sure why but that scene stuck with me.
Qiaoxi's parents should have gone to therapy before having another child. I can't imagine what would have happened if he hadn't met Yingtao. He would have probably ended up like his older brother or in a mental hospital.
An 8 for me. Yingtao's parents were adorable. I loved them even more because her father also plays Emperor in Love like the Galaxy. And now I'm off to rewatch it.

LoL, if you were talking about The Princess Royal then Su Rongqing's existence will annoy you to no end. So there is a third party there that never goes away until the last episode. Good luck 😂

😂 When it was Qianqian and Qi Min's turn I was like "isn't this supposed to be Xie Zheng and Changyu's scene" only for the ML to inhale that aphrodisiac. For a moment there, when he claimed he'd fallen in the pond, I thought they were going to brush things off. Glad they didn't.
Li Huai'an hiring teachers for Changyu only for them to fail had me on the floor. 😂😂 If the grand tutor failed, who do y'all think you are?
And can we talk about that madman Sui heir apparent? Imo, I think he was crazier than Qi Min. The true definition of love/hate. He might have been redeemable if he didn't go on a killing spree in Lin'an.
They did Wei Yan dirty. He should have just killed all the royals and taken the throne. Screw what people said.

Let's be honest. It's not about their age or anything. Zhang Xu was a straight up asshole. I get that he wasn't ready and was waiting for the right time but imo their relationship would have never worked out. Dude was living in his head and forgot that he needed to communicate because people aren't mind readers.
He was like "I like you but I don't think I deserve you so instead I'm going to be mean until I'm worthy of you" Uh first of all, f*** you. You are not in highschool anymore. Grow tf up. Your insecurities are the reason you didn't deserve her. Not your background or any other excuses you came up with...

It's been a while since I've come across a second lead I disliked so much. Even after fucking up everything, he was still blaming her. 🙄
Anyway, I absolutely adored this. I just finished Love between lines before picking this up and 36 episodes were intimidating. I thought I'd get bored and drop it after 20 or so episodes but I was surprised. Out of all the FL's friends, Yin Jie was my favorite. I like that there was no office drama. 9/10 for me. For the sake of my blood pressure, I won't even touch on the FL's father.

The costumes for the Qingyue disciples? I've never seen such ugly ass costumes. Basically two table cloths held together by belts 😂 simple robes, regardless of the material, would have been better.
